You have already one little dog? Two little dogs equal one medium dog. You already have a medium dog and a big dog? So, one plus one, plus one plus one equals 3. You'll really only still have 3 dogs. This is true. I had my Lab, my Doberman and two Chihuahuas fairly recently. Then I had my Doberman, Toker, (a pit/GSD mix, I think) and my two Chihuahuas. Now, just Toker and the two Chis. Either way, it's 3 dogs or less to me. LOL. The Chis just go together, like a pair. "Pair" is singular. :rofl1: So if you want this pup, go for it. It probably won't make a huge difference once the pup is civilized.:p

I like the foster idea too if you're not sure.

HAHA you guys are so funny and right! lol We took one look at the puppy and brought HIM home!..LOL

He looks like a pom..I don't see any pap in him what-so-ever ??

We felt like we had to save this little guy because we think hes from a puppy mill..

1) They got the puppy at 4 weeks!! so hes only 6 weeks right now and hes TINY!!
2) Hes pretty skinny for a puppy (its hard to tell though because he has LOTS of hair..lol ) and hes not eating dog dry food or wet so we went out and bought some puppy milk formula and crushed some dry food in it and he will eat a little bit of that but hes drinking lots of water
3) He has MAJOR diarrhea thats literally squirting out of his bum (poor guy)

I will have pics for you guys tonight :)

Oh gosh! You are such a softie.:p I'm glad you brought him home. I'd get him to a vet asap though. He's really young and really small... and to have this diarrhea is really dangerous. Can you give him some boiled rice and boiled chicken tid bits? But not the real kind of rice. I gave that to Lyric when he was sick and it all stuck together in a big wad in his throat and he almost gagged to death. It was awful. So, I'm thinking Minute rice. (don't know how good that is compared to real rice for stopping diarrhea though.) Maybe a little squished banana? Those things tend to firm things up. How about some Pedialite? I'm just thinking of things until you get him to a vet. I hope he doesn't have parvo. Is he throwing up or lethargic? It's good he's drinking. He must be from a puppy mill or byb to be this young. What a shame.

Well...he's one lucky pup to have found you. Hope we see some pictures when you can. Let us know how his health is. That worries me.

Here is a quick pic of him that I just took:

One to show how small he is..

He did throw up yesterday but it was just water like type stuff..Today he has not and he is eating more today. Im going to try the rice thing..Thanks for the tip..I was thinking maybe he just has this diarrhea because hes pretty much only eating liquids.

Hes definitely going to the vets on Monday!

I see pom only too...but hes a bit young to tell...

luckily you have other dogs to help raise this pup...they will teach him alot of things the other home could not have.

I have 5...including a pom ;) Dober is right, it takes 2 or 3 to equal one big dog...so technically I own just one large dog :p

try and get chicken into him.
dry rice like basmati is better than the regular or shorter grained rices becuas rhty dont 'gum up" like the shorter grained rice does.
i also suggest an emergency trip to a cvs or other al night place that will have pedialite, pedisure or other electrolyte based liquid, liquid poops will dehydrate QUICKLY so you need to make sure to get some liquids in him one way or another.

if hell take it and hes still refusing much of anything else just give him the puppy formular.

unsweetend pumpkin is also good for firming up.
hypoglycemia and dehydration are your biggest concerns right now.

he is absolutly adorable and honestly im SOOO glad you took him, sounds like he might not have Survived if left where he was...:(
if you cant get him drinking/eating and the poop a little less liquid by tomorrow id suggest a trip to the e-clinic just because hes sooo tiny and sooo young.

he is though just the cutest little bundle of fluff!

personally ive been told anything under 25lbs isnt a "dog"...
so if a "DOG" starts at 25lbs...
lets do the math
ruby is 10
jasper is 6...
nope, not a dog yet...
vixies 5
dodgers 3
nope still not a "dog"
risies 4...

so ALL the little ones = 28lbs = ONE DOG!
charlie is 26lbs therefore...in all that logic, we only have 2 dogs living with us right now :p

Lol, little dogs don't count!

He's CUTE! I see mostly pom but some pap/poms do come out VERY pom, only lighter weight and lankier. It should be interesting to keep guessing as he gets older. If he comes from a mill there's a good chance he's not exactly what they said.

I want more pics! :D

it all four feet leave the ground when it barks...it doesn't even count towards being a dog...LOL

If it bounces when it barks, your good :p

I have 103lbs of dog total...but since three bounce therefor don't count, its like one 70lb dog hehe

watch for mucus or blood in the stool, if you see any, I would E vet.:)

We had four dogs at two points in time. We had Samwise (Border Collie x Lab), Oliver (Lab mix), Layla (Boxer), and Georgia (Boxer). Three were fosters. It really didn't seem like it was too hectic. In fact, it was a lot of fun working with all of them and taking them to the park, and rollerblading with four dogs at once. ;) At the other point, we had Alaska (Boxer), Georgia (Boxer), Suzie Q (Dachshund), and Buddy (Pit bull). I agree with the small dogs being more work, despite their size. Suzie Q was a yappy, yippy, picky, bratty big weiner. But they all did well together, and we loved them all. It's always more work - especially with two of those dogs being fosters, both with problems that needed working on. It's a lot of fun, and I say go for it!

At another point, we had six. We had Georgia (Boxer), Elly (Labrador), Molly (Labrador mix), Oliver (Labrador mix), Bailey (Labrador) and Layla (Boxer). That was a ton of fun, and believe it or not - it wasn't much work! And I was the only one who would work with them and care for them. With any number of dogs, you have to be in control, especially with four or more- or it can be really stressfull. I had them out playing 4-6 hours a day. In the summer I would spend all day with the dogs, and on school days they'd be in the kennel (which had to be pad locked, because trouble maker Molly learned how to open any kind of door) for up to 7 hours, and as soon as I got home we'd be out playing, no matter what the weather for usually around 4 hours. And then even after that, the dogs would stay outside playing. We live on 2 acres, so it wasn't an issue leaving them outside. As long as they were exercised and their minds were occupied and as long as they were extremely tired by the time they came inside - all was under control. ;)

EDIT: I just saw that you adopted him! :D He's so tiny. YAY! Congratulations! :D He can't be too much trouble, can he? ;)

Oh! Gosh! He is soooooo squishably cute. And so tiny. He makes your Chihuahua look like a moose. Haha. Foxy gave lots of good advice. Hypoglycemia is definitely a life threatening thing...he must get some food down him. I'm glad to hear he's eating a little better. It doesn't have to be a lot....just something. Hopefully, it's nothing. But I know you'll feel better after seeing the vet. I agree. If he doesn't stop having diarrhea by tomorrow, I'd get him to an emergency clinic. (in his case cuz he's so young and tiny)

Well, congrats on the little fluff ball. He really does look pom. They are one of the most adorable looking little fluff balls. You'll have fun with him. And it is indeed great that you have other dogs for him to learn the ropes from. Can't wait for more pics! Good luck!

Aww, he's adorable! Congratulation on the new pup. Hope he's feeling better soon.

He looks so much like a pom poodle mix, to me. First thing I thought when I saw his picture. The fur around his muzzle is what makes me think so. Both Poms and Paps have short hair around the muzzle.

Here's what a pom poodle mix looks like.

Giny I was thinking that too because of the fur around the muzzle. Should be interesting to watch him grow up.

That puppy is SO cute. The pomeranian in him is definitely what came out on top. The fur on the snout is weird though.

Heres some pom pics for reference.
