Help Feeding Newborn Puppies

Hi all,
My Husky dog had four puppies on 4-28-04. Yesterday I noticed that the puppies were crying a little bit too much, so I went to the pet store and started asking some questions. Well, it looks like my dog does not have enough milk, so I bought that special formula and bottles for puppies, but this is where my problem is...
I tried to feed the dogs last night and this morning without any luck, they seem to keep sucking on her mom, but I'm not sure they're getting enough milk, if they are, they're probably getting just a little bit.

Can someone help me with this. How can I get these puppies to start taking the formula?

Just for the record as I replied on another question I asked before, I didn't plan or wanted to breed my dog... It was just I little miss-communication with the original dog owner in the family.

Tex, are you warming the formula to body temperature? Try holding each puppy in your lap on a blanket your mother dog has been laying on so it will be reassuringly full of her scent. Your babies aren't seeing anything yet, and rely on their sense of smell to make sure they are where they are safe.

If you haven't had any better luck by tomorrow, I'd suggest you call your vet to ask for help and advice. Is your mother dog on some good pregnancy vitamins and is she eating puppy food? That will help with milk production.

Yes, I'm warming the formula to body temperature... I'll try what you recommended.
Last night I bought her some vitamins and puppy food.
