Hi there! 
I've been lurking for a while, but decided that I might as well just get it over with and introduce myself and my dog, Roxie.
Roxie was adopted from the shelter on 12/8/09 (born 01/02/09), after having been returned 7 times. Apparently, I had lost my shadow as a child and Roxie was happy to replace said shadow with herself that day. She has clung to my side ever since. The good news is, after the first two years, we've finally gotten her separation anxiety under control. She may never be able to handle being in a crate (she broke out on new years when we adopted her), but is perfectly happy in the mudroom.
I had wanted to compete with her in agility, but unfortunately due to some circumstances, that hasn't happened yet. We do, however, "compete" in park and basement agility- she loves hopping up and over picnic tables, jumping up onto rocks (and pausing there), weaving through trees, and clearing park benches. It's really something to see!
Roxie was born at the shelter- her mom was a dainty black Whippet (who was surrendered during pregnancy), and her dad is supposedly a Boxer... I think the dad may have some sort of bulldog in him. Roxie was listed as a Whippet/Pit Bull mix. She seems to be pretty on par with those breeds.
Anyways, I should probably stop writing a book about my dog and just post some pictures, lol. If you have any questions for me, please ask!

After a while, she learned that it was okay to be elsewhere:
She also learned the joys of peanut butter!
And then I started making her take pretty pictures with things she wanted to shred
Soon, she decided she needed pretty collars like this
