Hello my name is Emily and I live in SC with my 3 rescue pups and my 4 kittys, and our turtle chester.

We have Magdelyn our 4 year old Newfie who was purchased from a BYB and turned into the shelter I worked at at the age of 2 She was hw positive and had lived in a backyard her entire life, she was nipping at the kids and when she was HW tested they realized they couldnt sell her. We shaved her down got her hot spots taken care of treated her heartworms and she is the perfect dog. She received her CGC in sept and will finish her last observation for her therapy certification next month hopefully.

Kosmo our Border collie Mix who we adopted at 4 months where he had demodex and was basically feral. Hes a sweet heart and has recently taken up lure coursing. He is also taking flyball classes and hopefully will be taking agility classes in spring.

and Nova whos our derpy shepherd mix. She is 3 and was turned into the shelter at 10 months for being "too stupid to train" Shes come a long way. She is currently in training for flyball and we hope to enter a few dock diving competitions in spring. She also is beginning to get the jist of frisbee.

I look forward to talking to everyone and learning about their pups!

Welcome to the forum! Can't wait to see pictures of them all especially if your user pic is any indication of the cuteness involved!

Your dogs are lovely.
You'll have to tell us how your lure coursing and flyball goes, I'm very interested in both.
The long coats make me jealous. I've always wanted a long coated dog. (Or do I?)

Welcome to the forum. : )

Gorgeous dogs!! I was scrolling through the pictures and was like Nova is gorgeous, I think I love her. Then I saw Magdelyn's pictures and I was like "Nope love her more". Then I saw Kosmo's pictures and was like "ABSOLUTE FAVORITE!!". Just gorgeous, all three of them.

We have been working at flyball for about 6 months. I love it. My kids are slow learners they are just getting box work. Some dogs in the class can do full run throughs already. But they are high drive dogs and mine arent soo much lol.

Lure coursing is THE BEST because for us its a "you do it or dont" thing. Kosmo is a natural so its just a matter of finding CAT testing in the area. Although I do have the worst sight hound envy right now. I want one the worst-est!

Also for long coated dogs... its a catch 22 I love petting them and snuggling them. But the baths and brushing is terrible. Kosmo and Nova are pretty easy but Maggie is the worst lol. Also I love buying dog collars and tags and 80% you cant see under the fur.

But I do love having black dogs. You can never tell when they are muddy.
