The quotes we got were for OFA & OVC, we asked for them 3 years ago....the quotes that is....have not looked into since, and no $$was not THE reason not to pursue but yes it did play a factor...and if others have been under fire for this before me then maybe this is just what I was asking....a place where if you breed you must be certified then i have to respect that clearly...and since i have posted a few picture threads and have gotten some but few short posts back and most, if really not all the attention has been on my lack of certification then maybe vandog is right and this is not Èmy playgroundÈ but rather Linds & Saraès and I will gladly pack up my toys and go play somewhere else.....thanks to those who have tried to welcome me and ask some lovely questions regarding history and breed stuff and to those that posted on my pics....
Really you are selling us all short if you think people here are just blindly agreeing with Linds and Sara and their breeder can do no wrong. We've had the merle x merle discussion to death. We've talked about most these things many a time and there are a variety of opinions. I think everyone is aware of everyone else's opinions and there's no need to rehash them out.

I really wish you would actually answer the questions about why you don't health test. All I am seeing is 'I don't certify and that's that. too bad.'

Any breeder that posts here gets asked questions.

I have answered as to the why....breed does not have history of HD (one breeder in the states does not comprise a entire breed), out of the dogs I breed from (aus.lines only now) we can go back in all generations in records with no history of HD (remember this is a genetically past on trait and this breed is less then 120 years old, not enough time for poor breeding choices in that regards as they are ranch dogs and need to be able to work first and for most), my vet has looked at xrays of my dogs hips and elbows and have read them to be excellent (I dont know about your vet but mine can read orthopedic xrays, might have to do with the fact that she is a livestock as well as small animal vet, or maybe just cause we are canadian and our vets rock, anyone interested in my pups can contact her for further comments), quotes of $440 are just not in my small ranchers budget ( i mean heck i only charge $500 for a pup), i am not out to "fill a market" in the sport dog world and have NEVER been so disrespected in my life as \i have been here for simply not certifying my dogs....never been a problem with ANYONE until I came here...and beleive it or not Chazpeople, you are not the "IT" people and I am sure I will continue to do just fine with my dogs regardless of you all not approving...so again like i said before if certifying is a pre requisite then I am not in a place i am welcome in....fair enough....but please know the information and representation of the coolie breed is not what Lindsey and Sara are offering you all....there is ALOT MORE OUT THERE....but here is not the place for me to show that....fine job from the young girls to distract everyone with this certification business....that way all you all will ever know is their version of the breed....now who needs to be more open minded ?? not me....i am willing to agree to disagree about this certification thing....it is you all that will not let it go...so we can go into other aspects of the breed....loudness, off switch, differences in names and looks, other breeders information even...i mean the best ones (including our own) do not have fancy websites...or facebook groups etc....i do on the other hand,i invite you come find me there if more information is [email protected] if email is better....check out Coolibah kennels in Aus...Borahview as well....Hunterslea is amazing too...the world of coolies is not just a old rancher and his chained up bitches giving birth in old rusty tractor buckets....and they are not all loud and obnoxcious like Trav, Didg and the other one...they do not all scare dog park people away, and like i said before the breed does not need a bunch of pumpass northamericans coming in to `save the breed`....it dont need saving people!!!

One of the rudest and most ignorant (and poorly written) things I've seen on here. Good riddance!

You know, I was totally willing to overlook Shawn's initial bluster because Chaz can be pretty off putting to people, but the last two posts are incredibly immature and, imo, telling.

Even if you don't agree with what's been said here, even if you have issues with current members of Chaz, that's no excuse to act like a child. It just makes you look like you're hiding something and don't play well with others.

I think I'm just going to call Zinga "the other one" from now on.
hahahahah

I feel for her, I hope Sara and Linds can work things out with Shawn should their breeding program benefit from the use of any of her stock.

Sucks to be where she is but none of the questions have been unreasonable, I think.

Classy.
I don't know about anyone else, but I'm convinced. Sorry, Linds. I can't associate with you anymore now that I've seen this stalwart champion of the breed. I feel so...enlightened.

I think it's a shame. I really would like to hear more about the breed because they're interesting to me. I'd love to hear more stories and opinions. But there isn't a need to be catty over a difference in opinion.

Shawn, how silly of you, if your trying to be some sort of educated ambassador for your breed.....your failing and badly. It has been very clear that you are on a witch hunt. And that brings up the question of why?? For somebody that is crying and playing the victim, you sure can dish it out. For someone defending their breed and other breeders, you have done an excellent job of bashing other breeders. It is always funny that when someone is hiding something or their practices that they deflect onto others and stomp their feet. Well done, your stomping, crying, accusations, extreme rudeness and bashing has just made people question and more than likely hurt you more than you know.
The fact is is, there are many well educated dog people on this forum, whether they post or not. Dog people that are very very successful, breeders of working dogs, performance, sport and conformation, people that have and are very successful when competing. People as a whole that are not easily mislead. As for Sara and Linds, they don't claim to be experts in the breed, yet you do. Do you really think that the majority here or on any forum, esp educated dog people take one persons word or opinions? You underestimate us and our education in the dog world and our experiences..........not smart.
Good luck with your breeding program, your going to need it. This trantrum of yours will have smart prospective buyers running away, well done.

I am diabolical. I couldn't be anything less and own my gross dogs now could I?

At least I don't have that "other one", life would just be unbearable then.

For what it's worth, I don't have any ill will towards you Shawn, I find this sad and rather silly and the smear campaign is frustrating. But oh well, at least I've got this by my side

Did I do it right Taq?

and for the record, no tempertantrum here...only under fire for not certifying my dogs and merely pointing out that the only source of info on this breed you èducated people in the dog sports world have is coming from 2 young girls who are simply repeating what a 70yr old rancher who has questionable breeding practices has taught them...i sure am not a expert in the breed but YES I DO KNOW MORE THEN those 2 girls!!! ABSOLUTLY!!
