If I ever have the heart to own another dog(After Cinnamon's death it's hard...) I'm torn, I would like to own another dog someday, but right now I feel like i'm desperately trying to fill a void left by my dog, so I really need to think about this LOL, anyway when i'm ready I'll probably name her Bella and if it's a boy... hmmmm..... Max or Shadow.

I have probably at least 15-20 names picked out for future dogs. Some are breed specific, other more general. I'll share them.

Trillian
Trout
Cinncinatus C. "Cin"
Laska
Chelsea Dagger
Livingston
Ursula
Calcifer
Cowgirl
Julio
Banjara
Timequake

ETA: The only one I have with a call name attached in Cinncinatus, and the call name would be "Undefined Crime"

100000 points to anyone who gets the reference.
I love Trillian , Ever have since I read the books.

And i think the extra point refer to something obscene. lol

any future dog will be named Elvis. It will be a blue merle of some breed/type. In about 10 years or so.

If I ever get a black fila her name is going to be Judge. :D

I wanted to name a dog Cinder some day, but Patrick Rothfuss ruined it. lol

If I ever have another litter I want to do an Omnian (Discworld) theme. With names like Suffer-Not-Injustice, Visit-The-Infidel-With-Explanatory-Pamphlets, and Smite-The-Unbeliever-With-Cunning-Arguments (his call name could be Smite!). I might have to pay extra for a couple of the longer names though. hmm.

Nope. It took me ages to name Gusto. If I ever have a big tank of a dog, it will be Tarrou after one of my favorite fictional characters. But given my preferance for 30 lb dogs, I probably will never use it.

If BSL is ever repealed here, I want an APBT named Vincenzo. It means "victorious" and it's a nod to my first fugitive foster pup "Lorenzo".

If I get a male OES it's name will be Appa.

Because for real, perfection. :p

This is awesome and must happen :D

With me it will depend on the dog...

I would like a male Shar Pei named Rupert or Giles :)
A nice brindle or black and white basenji girly named Momo...

Of course all that can and probably will change when I actually get my next puppy...

For the longest time, I thought my next male would be London.
Then I met someone on the bus named Denver and decided that names of places are out, just in case I ever move.

Yes.
I have heaps of names picked for future dogs. Ofcourse dependant on them actually suiting the dog.
Quinn was named for 2-3 years before I got her. Named her at 4 weeks old because it suited her. The other contending name for a female BC was "Sonny" which she could also carry off but I love Quinn.
I like Kimmie for a female BC but I couldn't have a Kimmie and a Quinnie at the same time, too hard.

Poe is an awesome name!

I have so many names picked out for several different breeds... And never end up using any of them!
I had two saved up since I was a kid for my first saluki, who I decided back then would be a male silver grizzle or a fawn female.
My first saluki just happens to be a male silver grizzle, one who only recently got a name and doesn't even really know his name yet, but still it suits him so we'll keep it.
This always happens lol!
I have somewhere between 50-100 names I've complied and I haven't actually named a dog in about 18 years! :rofl1:

Arson was at the top of my next dog list. I just didn't think it would suit a dog so soon. I thought it might go with a drivey cocker bitch. I have a few names still set aside. None I like as much, but there better not be a 4th pup show up in my life for a while..

I thought I had. But now that I actually have to seriously think about it, I am totally lost for names. I have a list, but none of the names really stand out and say "yes, that's the one!".

I can see a Bernard and an Edwina in my future, but only if it matches the dog I bring home.

I had a dream recently that I owned a Standard Poodle named Nikki. And it was spelled like that too, in my dream. Bizarre.
