Hair color

So I have been wanting to put color in my hair for almost 20 years now lol. I always chickened out about bleaching, which I have to do for the color to show. Last night I finally did it

My hair looks pretty fried because I blew it dry twice last night, and I normally never do. I also did not condition it after shampooing (which I ALWAYS do) because I just didnt think about it somehow.

The pieces I bleached however are no worse than the rest so I know the bleach didnt really hurt my hair so phew!

Bleaching

Messy (not in the cute way ha!) fishtail, did it quickly on still damp hair

and then flipped half up

I originally was going to do like a blood/wine color but my daughter wanted pink and turquoise so thats what we got. I was planning on doing both but thought it may be better to stick with one color.

I'm such a chicken lol like you..I have really dark hair so it would require bleaching then color which has always scared me off from every trying it

I also am pretty lazy and didnt want to have to do maintenance on it or worry about it. I did peek a boo streaks so basically hid them in the rest of my hair so the roots shouldnt show ever.

I was scared about the bleach for sure but realized, I have SO much hair even if some got fried I would be able to hide cover it...but it worked fine

Do a vinegar rinse before you wash it for the first time and then wash in cold water only, helps make it last longer =)

My brother used to bleach and dye is hair all the time so I at one point knew lots of tricks. Most I have forgotten:/

When I was in high school I wanted to color my hair all sorts of colors... but was kind of a wimp about it (the maintenance, what if it ended up not looking good, etc) so I just opted for neon extensions instead:

I should totally do it again. Colorful hair is fun
