Groomers and Bathers

This week I have a interview for a PT Dog Bather position and I was wondering what was yalls experience as a bather or dog groomer? If I could Id love to go to school but there arent any in my town and the closets one is four hours away.

I learned to groom under an other groomer. This was back in 77. It was a good experience for me. Try bathing first then see if this place will teach you to groom.

I'm not a groomer but I have helped out as a bather for a friend at her job.

Most of my friends who are groomers didn't actually go to a school they were mentored and taught everything by an experienced groomer.

Thanks for the info unfortunately I wont know if I got the position or not till August!!The reason is that the Head groomer wants to wait and see what happens cause of everything thats going on in Congress right now.

I don't keep up much with politices what's going on in congress?Just wondering.

The obamacare is what she is waiting on to see how it will affect her store and if she can hire anyone else or not.

I had to give it up because the other groomers were very catty and cliquey. Just not for me. I'm happier as a stocker. But I know the groomers make better money than I do.
