Has anyone had any experience feeding this food? I am doing research on foods that don't contain chicken and clicked on this food. 10lbs is between 65-71 dollars and once rehydrated is 55 lbs. That breaks down to less than $2 per pound which is a lot less than any other quality food. Dogfoodadvisor gave it 4 stars.

I have half a small bag of the Bison that I split with a coworker. It smells like Chinese food when rehydrated :p

It has a lot of potatoes in it, which Frodo doesn't do well on, so I only give it to him maybe once a week, and then only a tablespoon's worth, just to shake up his diet a bit. But he sure loves it!

Crazy expensive though, at least here.

I believe my friend tried that for her Rottie mix for a while and I think Trixie did really well on it if I'm remembering correctly. I don't know what flavors she tried for her or anything though.

I feed the rabbit recipe occasionally and my girls love it. Smells really good to me too :) I always keep some freeze dried or dehydrated food on hand for times when I forget to thaw or need to mix in raw organs.

Boo eats is as a portion of her nightly meal (it's a bit expensive to feed exclusively). She's eating the artisan chicken variety, but there are other varieties without chicken as well.

She loves the stuff and does well on it. If I recall, it took her a meal or two to decide that it tasted alright, but now she likes it better than the kibble portion of her diet.

I don't really follow the directions - I just rehydrate it with however much water seems sufficient (til it's a bit like oatmeal) and let it sit for maybe a minute or two before feeding. Never had a problem even though the bag says to wait longer.

Just one thing to note - there are always a few chunks of chicken at the top of the bag, but the vast majority is finely ground into the food. I was concerned at first (was thinking that there wasn't enough chicken in the food), but found that sidenote written in tiny print on the bag.

Misty (the cat) ate the cat food for a while as well until we discovered that fish makes her vomit.
