Well just in case it doesn't come up here's the story(this happened about 40 miles from where I live):

A mans fiance brought home a Pitt Bull puppy one day that had been abandoned. The man wasn't very happy about it but soon the puppy grew on him and they became best friends. Years later the couple broke up and since it was his Fiance's dog he couldn't do anything but let her take the dog (named Mikey).

A while goes by and the ex-Fiance calls the man and says she is moving to a place where she cannot take Mikey, would he please take him? The man was living in a small place that didn't allow dogs and he was heartbroken he couldn't take Mikey, he tried calling everyone he knew to try and find a home for him but to no avail. The Ex-Fiance surrendured Mikey to a no kill facility but the man didn't know which one.

One year later he was living in a house with a great yard and couldn't sleep one night, thinking of Mikey. So he went to his computer and did a google search "Tahoe Mikey". Amazingly the first link was to a dog at a shelter that looked just like Mikey. He instantly sent an email to the shelter and waited up all night til the next morning when he got a reply that yes, indeed this was his Mikey.

Mikey had had many potential owners, but they had never worked out. One couple in particular loved him but their roommate refused to live with a dog so they reluctantly gave him back, but came back every weekend to take him to the park and even let him stay overnight with them when the rommate was away.

On the day the man went to pick up Mikey the staff at the shelter made posters for Mikey and hung them on the shelters front door saying they will miss him. The man talked with the staff about all the tricks Mikey knew, including one they didn't know about, the man would say "bang" and Mikey would turn around in a circle then lay down on his back, playing "dead". The staff tried but noone could get Mikey to play dead. Finally the man said "Bang" and sure enough, Mikey played dead. Mikey also showed off his fondness for licking rocks, which the man remembered well from the past.

Soon many news channels all over the country heard about the story of a man, his lost dog, and the google search that brought them back together. It was even on Good Morning America! Mikey was a star, but all he really cared about was being with the man he loved...and his rocks.
