I've trained before, but it's been a long time. My methods are more the traditional type, but I want to try to change. I don't have money for courses or paid videos etc. So, I figured I'd ask you guys if there are some good (free) online resources on training. Video is ok, though I prefer written as my speakers are not behaving... I want to go with positive training methods, particularly since my foster dog has been badly abused. Thanks.

Check out dogstardaily.com. That is a good place to start with ton of information.

Sure others will chime in before I get a chance to come back as I have to hop off here...but there are a TON of books, videos, etc.

Thanks for the suggestions. Money is a problem for the rescue too at the moment. It is a very "young" rescue... and is still sorting itself out. I might get some money one of these days, but at the moment am very broke... I hate money :/

At least Dekka found a treat that Elwood will likely work with, so that's a big plus as so far he's shown little interest. It will be a challenge to rework all his behaviours. He still shows "automatic" fear responses even for little stuff. Thank goodness he's 100% non-aggressive. I don't want to know what the poor boy has been through... Poor boy. I know I'm not the perfect person for him, but I will try my best.
