gonna ask a stupid question

So I was talking to someone about feeding Sunny raw marrow bones.(he really loves them) and they looked at me like I had three heads and said "didn't you know that feeding your dog raw meat will give them a taste for blood and they will turn vicious?!" Well, no I had never heard that and it sounded stupid with everyone talking about feeding their dogs raw food so I am confused. Just another myth or is there any validity anywhere in that statement?

That is sooo stupid, it's completely untrue. My girls eat raw meat all the time and they're three of the sweetest, cuddlebugs you'll meet.

The tatse of blood is false but they can get sick from raw meat. They can handle it a lot better than us but they still can get sick. Also be care of the bone b/c the can get pieces stuck or they can splinter and cause damage. If the can't cough it up or pass it or if it cuts them inside it can be very bad. We give our little ones dental chews that look likr raw hide chews but are disolved by saliva. Less chance of getting stuck or cutting them plus it helps their teeth.
Ultimately it is up to you. Do what you think is best. Same w/ children, some people think you should or should not do things but once you know both sides (good and bad) you need to make the decision for you and your pets.

I feed Mack a raw bone once a week and he has yet to turn vicous and kill anyone. I think some people just aren't really educated one what's good for their dogs.

sorta figured, but wondered if anyone else had ever heard such a silly thing. One of the kids here said a police officer saw him feeding his pittie some raw burger and made him stop since it would turn "that ferocious dog even more vicious"
