So guys, I've posted before about wanting to go blonde. I was going to buy a box and asked a lady at Ulta for help and she was zero help.
I'm considering going to Sally Beauty Supply and seeking the assistance of a gay man. But there's a possibility there will be no gay man to help me and that will be unfortunate. (The women who work there are always too busy gossiping between themselves to help me...)
My mom won a gift card to a salon a while back and she offered to let me have it and let the salon do my hair - but I don't feel right about it (although I don't think she will EVER go. I've been to the salon before and they did my hair and makeup gratis for a station event and, as my mother called it, "that place that did your makeup that made you look like a *****." The girl who did my hair was GREAT and the makeup artist a total joy to talk makeup with, but yes, I looked like I might have been going hooking.) and I'm not even sure her gift card will cover having my hair bleached there anyway. Not to mention the last time a professional coloured my hair I hated it, but 99% of the time I've coloured my own hair, it's been fine. But I've never bleached before either.
Anybody have thoughts? Seek the assistance of a gay man at Sally's and if that fails come up with a Plan B?

I think I'm gonna try it this weekend! I'm kind of conflicted. I used to dye my hair all the time, but now it's been a really long time since I have and I get a lot of compliments on my natural color... but I'm just bored with it? I'll try the henna on a small section and see if I like it before doing my whole head.
Anyone have any comment on Burt's Bees products? Just bought Pearanormal Activity shampoo and conditioner. It says organic and natural on it but I believe it still has some sulfates, and such. Just wondering if its a good one or not. Just used it, but my hairs still wet so we'll see what happens. I haven't used sulfate free for a month or so now. I don't really know why, I just stopped. I was using apple pectin shampoo and my scalp was super itchy so I grabbed some of this güd stuff (by Burts Bees) at target today. Any reviews??
I got my ears pierced about a month ago. Can I switch earrings? I know they say at least 6 weeks, but these earrings seem REALLY tight to me and they hurt if I accodently bump/knock them with my hand or something. They aren't infected, and they don't hurt all the time by any means, but I feel like I would benefit from earrings that aren't so tight on my ear. Or is it normal for them to still be sensitive after a month??
ETA: I got them done at Claire's and I feel like these earrings are intended for kids with much smaller ears than mine.

Just waiting for my friend to get off work so we can start! It's gonna be a late night lol. I did my strand test though, only left it on for about 2 hours and I'm thinking I'll leave it on my head for much longer because I don't see too much difference! Which I suppose is better than being horrified at the change lol.

Did they put studs in? I'm guessing since it was Claire's they did and that's not good. If you can, I would go somewhere and see if they can switch it out for a captive bead ring. It shouldn't hurt if you knock into it at this point... mine actually never hurt if I remember right, maybe a bit right after I had it done but I could clean them starting that night and they didn't hurt.
The studs are usually short and the butterfly backs on earrings can pinch really tightly (and trap/push bacteria into the piercing) so they're really not recommended.
Switch them if you can but I wouldn't switch 'em for another butterfly back until it's totally healed.
