I LOVE gel/lacquer eyeliner for waterproof-y stuff that cements itself to my eyelid (I need makeup remover to take it off, it won't wash off with just cleanser and water in the shower)

My favorite drugstore gel pot is L'oreal's infallible. Their black is especially great.

Favorite non-drugstore kind is Stila's smudge pots.

Liquid liner or gel all the way! I really like the gel from Maybelline, although I use liquid eyeliner from L'Oreal. I went on a 4 hour hike yesterday and all of my make-up stayed on! I'll post a picture later, but here's one from a few weeks ago of my make-up. It's a pretty nice black.

Here's half my face at the end of the day, after sweating and sweltering and running around for hours. Some smudging, but not bad!

If liquid liner or gel, yeah, those. Wet n Wild isn't a terrible liquid liner. Eyeko has good pens, too.

I have more issues working with liquid liner than gel liner. And sometimes pencil does what I need it to. Depends on what you need. And a good angled brush is your friend.

Grace, you have a perfect face. <3

Gel eyeliner is so much easier for me to work with than liquid! Liquid works for if I'm wearing a darkish eyeshadow and need a very thin line of black right along my lashline (because my eyelashes are thin and sad)

I really want urban decay's naked palette, because I want to experiment with neutral colors and blending beyond the darks/sparkles/metallics I usually do.

I heve never been able to get any eyeliner right ... I always end up poking myself in the eye xD

Kudos to you girls who are good at it!

I guess working with animals for a living has made me "lazy" in the makeup department, becsuse the horses could give a **** less whether I wear makeup or not lol

I have the Naked palette and love it. It's what I use for 90% of my eye looks. I use it it all the time. Either I go light, I go cat eye, I go dark and heavy, or grungy....it's really versatile and the quality is REALLY nice. My only complaint is there's more fallout than I like...but remembering to tap out the excess helps too.

Wow equinox you are very pretty!

I have tried makeup but it just looks ... Weird on me, I usually wear NO makeup ever, it's just too much trouble :)
Thank you! So nice of you to say!! I've only recently started wearing make up. I've always liked it, just never wanted to make the effort. Well, now that I've started seeing the wonders of make up (on my otherwise blechhh face), it's too late to go back LOL

I have never been able to get liquid/gel eyeliner to go on right. I'm not coordinated/skilled enough for that yet.

Baby steps, lol.
Oh yeah, I keep meaning to try the gel because I hear that it's a million times easier to apply, and I can see it staying on better, too. At the end of the day bits of my liquid eyeliner will start flaking off (which looks really odd when I do a thicker, solid black wing on the upper lid).

pfffft, look which Grace is talking  :p

One reason I started out with liquid was because I used to (and still sort of do) a pretty dark brow. My eyebrows are naturally thick but I always go crazy with plucking so most of my eyebrow is drawn in, even now. I wish I knew how to apply and blend eyeshadow right, so for now it's just a small wing and some liner on the lower lash line.

But really. Any video tutorials for applying eyeshadow? I love, love, love what everyone does with eyeshadow but am too scared to try.

I hope to be one of those girls eventually... I think I've been wearing make up for a couple of months now, and I'm still awful at it. I've poked myself in the eye with a mascara brush plenty of times, and sometimes my liquid liner makes squiggles all over my face.

My eyeliner today. I use Maybelline MasterDrama on my waterline and Physician's Formula gel liner on my lashline.

Don't waste your money on this garbage, seriously. I'm going to have an awesome time showing up for my first drill weekend because this stuff not only brightened the pink on the bottom half of my head, but turned the top half pink too. I can't do anything to fix it just yet because I just bleached it like three weeks ago and its going to fry it if I do anything too soon. Just... UGH. Never, ever, EVER again. The worst part is that I washed it this morning and it's faded, it looks like I have a mix between hot pink and light pink highlites... and no, no pictures. EEW.

Beautiful British Columbia!!
What do you guys do regarding your acne. Just this past two months I have been getting little acne bumps all over my chin and on the sides of my nose. The ones on the sides of my nose have been a big cluster that have been there for about a month. Its so annoying since I have never had acne before. Maybe the random one, but not like this. AUHHGG!!!

I should add the only thing that has been working is spending the weekend in the sun (at least I am tanned as heck) or putting my eczema cortisone cream on the little bastards

Am I supposed to tell my boyfriend if I'm back in touch with an ex? By back in touch I mean one phone call, and he sent me a card congratulating me on the baby. I'm afraid if I say something it will seem like I'm mentioning it because it's a big deal, and if I don't mention it he'll think I'm being sketchy about it.

Maybe leave the card around so he'll find it? Or if you have many cards congratulating you, display them and mention to him how many people sent your two congrats? I would hint at it, but I wouldn't outright mention it, for the reasons you wouldn't.

I really think it depends on the ex as to how important mentioning it would be. Plus, you two have a baby. That kind of trumps a congratulatory phone call.

that's a good idea. He wouldn't look at the card if I left it around most likely, but if I say "The Ex sent a card" it'll seem like I'm just passing on the message of well wishes.

decided to go with the pill (that I know works for me) instead of Mirena. (Yaz)

I'm a little disappointed in myself for being such a chicken ****. But especially with seeing the boy for the first time in what feels like years in November, I DO NOT want to risk side effects and weird stuff and bleeding from Mirena.
I'd rather just stick with what I know works lol which sucks because I really would rather not have a period

What can I put on my hair after bleaching it to make it soft and silky? I bought a repair treatment and a deep conditioning treatment and my hair feels okay, but not how I would like it to feel. I love the way it looks though!! I will get pics tomorrow. It doesn't look damaged or anything at all (not like last time I bleached my hair OMG). No split ends or anything even. It just feels dry.
