If I did it would leave:

1. Welcome to Blackthorn Working German Shepherds
2. vom Rheinland
3. Riddlebrook German Shepherds - Breeders of the finest quality German Shepherds
4. vom Airmont German Shepherds
5. DDR German Shepherds Breeder Working DDR German Shepherds
6. Connecticut German Shepherd Dog Breeder

Can anyone specifically say what it is they don't like about each one, I don't want to take them off just because you don't like them, not that I don't trust you ;) Just would like to be informed, I don't know how easy it is to get some of those titles.

Release the hounds: My only issues with those breeders are the amount of litters they appear to be breeding, perhaps I'm misunderstanding...the first one looks like it has 8 recent/soon to be litters (perhaps the females are owned by someone else?).
Hey all,

My apologies for bumping an old topic, but a friend of mine sent me this link and asked me about my 8 litters this year... Something on my site must have been very confusing. I can't imagine having 8 litters in a year--I don't think there's enough hours in a day! I think I'd faint! :)

Despite this confusion, I want to thank you for including my kennel on your list and for looking at my website. I'm always glad to hear from people interested in my dogs and I try hard to answer questions and reply helpfully to any concerns.

I've been involved in German Shepherds for 18 years now. I've mainly been involved in the working side--I've titled dogs in AKC obedience and Schutzhund, and have done the German-style shows and breed surveys. I've been a USA Breed Warden for 10 years and competed on the national level in schutzhund with dogs I raised and trained from puppyhood. Puppies that I have produced have gone on to work in schutzhund, AKC obedience, search and rescue (FEMA, cadaver work, and wilderness work), and agility (the GSDCA 2009 Agility Victrix was a dog I bred--MACH2 ADCH Blackthorn's Deva, XF). Additionally, many of my puppies have gone on to be excellent companions and best friends.

When breeding, I place a lot of importance on intelligence, trainability, "live-ability," and of course, health. I usually have one or maybe two litters a year (I'm just now on my "O" litter--after 18 years in the breed). My puppies are born in my in-home office, and I watch and interact with them every day to not only socialize them but also to get to know each puppy to help match them with the best possible future home. My goal is always to have a happy puppy who grows up to be a happy dog--and I believe this is best accomplished when puppy and humans are well matched.

Thanks again--and please feel free to email me with any questions.

regards,
Christine Kemper

Despite the age of this thread, and in case anyone ever wants to refer back to this as a resource, I want to put in a good word for Christine/Blackthorn Kennels.

I have never heard a single complaint about the dogs she breeds, and the lines and litters she breeds are always carefully chosen and well thought out. I have browsed her blog and also lurk on several GSD specific message boards. I respect Christine's knowledge and experience and can say that she is a conscientious breeder who cares about all of her dogs.

Does hurt that she has gorgeous dogs, either. I am sorely tempted by the O-litter pups! :D

I meant "Doesn't hurt"... the Blackthorn dogs are stunning. It was 1:19 a.m. and I was trying to get some work done at the same time. Didn't work out too well!

But I agree - update?

Awe, daanggg. Now I want another GSD even more. Blackthorn will be added to my list of potentials, that's for sure. Wish they were closer!

Also, as to the OP, did they end up getting a puppy, and from who?
