This puppy is seriously adorable. He reminds me of The Fox and The Hound.

Thanks Pops. Means something coming from you and PlottMom. My offspring (pictured with Garnett) proposes to turn him into a competition coondog-which is why we went through all the convolutions of finding him an appropriately bred pup. He has offers of mentoring- and has been researching how to start, so we'll see how it goes. I don't know what the chances of success are, what with living in suburban Jersey, but the boy loves to camp, and is pretty smart. Pup looks pretty smart too. Also, we are a bout 500 yards from a coon rich reservation. Too many roads around and through it to want to let him go without a trail rope, but we can do something.

He's an all grand son of Track man, with a dual grand champion bitch. And he goes after a coon skin like nobody's business-so we shall see. Any advice always appreciated

You're not really in that bad a spot. Should be more coon than he can handle down in the pine barrens and lots of competitions in NY & PA. I look forward to seeing him in some columns in full cry with the Ws & 1st next to his name.
