Jason and I do not agree on names for the most part...we have a few of each gender we do like the same.

Boys:
Grayson
Liam
Trystan

Girls:
Olivia
Gabriella
Arianna

I have a list somewhere but I'm not going to hunt for it. It's sort of weird to think of "types" of names for us because I'm Irish and he's Asian and those name styles do not go together LOL
I really like Trystan. Reminds me of that movie with Brad Pitt *yumm*

It's also one of those names you need to watch the surname on, though.

A Very Whitehead
A Very Smallcox

...etc :p
Hahahaha, I never even thought of that. Good thing our surname passes the test.

I went to school with a girl named Iva Mandic. It's pronounced Eva Mandich, but still, parents, what were you thinking!!??!!

Oh, gosh, children's names. Just from light banter about future children names, Mike and I naming ANY of our children is going to be an issue. The names I like he doesn't, and the names he likes I don't.

I would really, really like to name a girl Adrienne. The only issue with this is that Mike would like to name a girl after his sister, who passed away as a baby...and if we only have one girl, we're going to be at odds.

I have absolutely no boy names. I like the name Michael, but that obviously can't happen now with Mike being Michael. I will NOT have a Junior. Period.

Mike does want to give our children two middle names, as he has two middle names. He wanted all of them to have his second middle name, and I said hell no. I don't like naming things like that. Too much like a Junior. So I said he can do that for the boys if he wants (as our family does have a tradition of the first born males keeping the same middle name), but I'm not having girls with a second middle name of Evan. But the girls have to have two middle names if the boys do...GAH! :rofl1:

No plans on any more kids for me, but we did have a long list that we whittled down before we chose Clive's name.
Lief was on our final list, but didn't make the final four, lol. Which worked out, as the lad's sister, without knowing any of our name picks, named her kiddo that when he was born a month later than Clive. We really liked Wiccus (pronounced with a V) but knew no one would get the pronunciation and we didn't want to change the spelling.

I like all of these, classic but not commonly used, although Liam is really common up here and there is a construction company by that name.

Someone I know had a boy a couple weeks ago and named him Grey, his brother calls him brown hahahaha.

I think he's serious too......

Grayson will be first choice for first boy child. My surname is Gray and I'm changing it for Jason so I want it somewhere :)

No desire for kids, but there's always the accidental baby I suppose. We like traditional names--not a fan of the trend of changing spellings or trying to be super unique. Also, being a teacher waaaaay too many names have been ruined for me by kiddies!!!

Girls: Madeline Claire, Megan Elaine, Alyssa Marie
Boys: Ryan Daniel, Ethan Matthew

I already have my unique/classic kids named already! lol

We have a
Cyle Noel ~ pronounced Kyle , he gets syle all the time.
Nicholas Joseph ~ He was suppossed to be a girl (ultrsound lied) and named
Nicole Josephine
Caleb Dante ~ Caleb is getting more popular , I dont know any Dantes.
Jacob Donovan ~ Jacob has been popular for decades it seems , but Donovan
rolls with it well

Virginia Rose ~ she was hubbies first born and named after his deceased
mother , classic name
Victoria Rae ~ needed a V name to go with Virginia and Rae was my
Grandmothers middle name, she threw a fit we did not use her
first name but Sally would not fit anywhere

fun fact . the girls initials are VRN , my wonderfull father calls his granddaughters VERN.

Uhhh, I've spent my entire life with my next ten kids named, first and middles, and now I'm having a baby in two months and he/she still doesn't have a name.

If I had my way, a boy would be Apollo Jude Lysander, and a girl would be either Beatrix Elizabeth Noelle, Aurelia Elizabeth Noelle, or just plain Elizabeth Noelle.

Ariadne and Marisol are also in the running for girls ATM.

A boy...I have NO idea. I don't really want to name a boy anything except Apollo, and Dad doesn't want to name a boy anything except Jayden. Rowan and Tristan are considerations at this point.

I feel like suddenly I don't really like ANY boys names, and all the girl's names I like are too hard for the stupid people around here to spell or pronounce.

At this point it's just daydreaming, but I've got names all lined up haha. For the girls I'd like to do a traditional Croatian name for my grandfather's sake.

Girls
Ljilijana (Lili or Lily) Rae
Danijela (Dani) Lee

Boys
Jacob Weston
Dustin Riley
Austin Garret

...do you currently spell out your name when you introduce yourself to people? I mean... I certainly don't, nor do I know anybody who does o_O
Usually I'm on the phone for work and people take my name! I don't spell it because its a simple name ;) but you'd be surprised how many people ask me how to spell my surname, and THAT is simple too!

School... Work... Ringing companies... Shopping.. They usually all need your name.

If they don't spell it out, I imagine people will just write lilyanna (I'm guessing that's how it's pronounced?).

Hassle!

I had someone ask me how to spell my name before. Ed.

I told them it's hyphenated.

Omg you're the only other person I know of who wants to name a girl Ryan!!

I want to name my first child Ryan. So if its a girl:

Ryan Rebecca Lastname

if its a boy

Ryan Jacob Lastname

Other (first) names I love are

Girl:
Isabella
Sophia
Ally
Rebecca
Leah
Rylie (I'd love twin girls Ryan and Rylie)

Boy:
Noah
Jacob
Landon
Brendon

And there are more I can't think of in the moment, so I may add some later!

The pronunciation is slightly different when said "correctly" but Lilyanna is a good approximation. I don't know. I like it. And given that I will most likely continue to live in an area with plenty of other Slav immigrants, most people will be quite familiar with it it. Or they can suck it up. There are weirder names out there, and I am quite attached to my heritage. Having a funny name didn't hurt me any :D
