I hope you don’t mind me writing to you about this little chap. His name is Zippy and he has had a tough start in life. At only 10 months old he has had two homes, seems to have had some kind of accident and is also reported to have been used as a football by some youths. Until he ended up in the care of 4Pawz&More Rescue, it doesn’t appear that Zippy received any vet care and he is unable to use his back legs.
Zippy has been taken to see a specialist orthopaedic surgeon at the Royal Veterinary Hospital, who says that an operation could give him back the use of his legs and a quality of life. The other option is euthanasia.
We are trying to raise the £8,000 needed for Zippy’s operation.
I include below a link for a poster that we are using to try to raise awareness and funds for this lovely little dog. We have also made a Zippy webpage that contains details of the operation he requires along with information on how to donate or raise funds.
