I friend I have known since high school has an intact female dog (no problem if in the right hands) and does not believe that a small intact male dog (no idea the breed, he is not really dog savvy) can get his lab pregnant.

He was complaining about how this little dog was tormenting his Lab and about his and his dad's attempts to get him out of the yard. Everyone in the family works and the dog is outside 24/7. So you see how this will end up? I told him he needs to bring the dog inside or else get her spayed. He just laughed it off and told me how pathetic the little dog looked.

Our area is already inundated with Lab Xs, we don't need more. Too make it more complicated he is leaving for the military in June and his parents are not animal people.

^Yes, and then search your area for the cheapest spay clinic and give him the link.

Show him this and tell him this is probably going to be his ad in a few months.

I'll get the "its photoshopped!" response. I showed him various small breed X Lab crosses and he rolled his eyes and said "Yeah, right!"

I'll try, but he probably want take her.

I've printed out stuff from the (many) places in my area and gave it to three different people. One went ahead and got it done, the other too gave every excuse known to man. One bred her Chi to a neighbor's Chi X and the other just tells me how "gross" her in heat cat is.

I would submit that he knows how puppies are made and he really does know that it's possible, but he just doesn't care that much. He's gambling that it probably won't happen, because that's the path of least resistance.

Don't bang your head against this wall unless you're ready for a headache.

I'm trying to forget about it, but I'm concerned about where the (hypothetical) puppies will end up.
