Does anyone feed their dogs Merrick foods i.e. "Cowboy Cookout?" If so, what is your opinion of them?

The people I used to work for fed some Merrick canned to their dogs and they seemed to like it alright. Their dogs looked really nice too, good coats.

I'm not a fan of Merrick products, neither foods nor treats.

The food is overpriced for the quality it offers, quality control is iffy at best (lots of complaints about foreign objects). What makes me nervous about the treats, mainly the various animal parts is that Garth Merrick also owns one of the largest dead stock removal companies in Texas, and also rendering facility (Hereford By-Products and Tejas Industries). "Merrick Pet Foods" is conveniently situated at the site of the rendering plant.

Thank you so much for your input, Mordy. I will stick with Natura products. I feed California Natural now and was interested in the Merrick foods but will not risk feeding lower quality. Plus, I really trust Natura.
