I've been trying to find info on good dog foods. I haven't had a ton of time but have read several articles on what to look for and what to avoid in foods. I ran out of science diet before I decided what to switch to so I went to Petco and got another small bag (hopefully won't have it very long) so I can mix it with whatever new food I get. I did look through all the foods at Petco-no good. I think Pro Plan or Purina One was the best I found. These aren't so good are they? They seemed to have a few ingredients to avoid but less they did have chicken by-products in them so I think they are a no go. I did look up some of the foods suggested to me in another thread and I have a few questions on them as well. The only ones I can find near me that I was comfortable with are Canidae and Eagle Pack. Any feelings one way or the other? Between the two, I think I'm favoring the Eagle Pack but the Canidae is probably 20 minutes closer to me. Gunner has a vet appointment tomorrow night so I'll ask the vet about food but I'm not really counting on any helpful advise as he didn't really say anything about the Science Diet I'm feeding now.
