Hi,

I would like to discuss the Fitness Dog Fighting subject. It is a mild and (to my hope) legal form of Dog fighting, which is not too dangerous to Dogs (Tosa Sumo fighting for example).

I would like to invite you to visit a domain that hosts many fitness Dog fighting videos:

http://www.fitness-dog-fighting.com

Please tell me your meaning of this. Accordingly to your opinion, is fitness Dog fighting okay?

Cheers...

I think the disclaimers are there to do just that - cover their backs.

This is a site promoting an illegal activity, and infact, I may send the link to the necessary authorities.

Dear Dizzy,

This is not site promotion though it can look like that.

If we are to talk the Fitness Dog Fighting subject, we should see some photos, videos and other material that will make us clear about the facts that are surrounding this subject. I think it is necessary and useful.

I think the facts are that it IS dog fighting.

It is pitching one dog against another.

It IS wrong.

I looked at the website, it promotes animal cruelty. Dog/puma?!/pig - it was like reading something from the dark ages.

This is a dog lovers forum, and I think that not only will the website anger most people here, I think you need to add that there are images most people will find disturbing.

Dog Fighting is dog fighting and should not be allowed. If you want to keep your dog fit, go jog with it or join a dog sport instead of getting your sick enjoyment out of watching dogs fight.

Dear Dizzi,

It is no pitching one dog against another.

The owner of the German Shepherd in the fitness Dog fighting video called his Dog to make him fight milder. Please see Fitness Dog fighting rule no. 4.

As far as Dog/puma/pig.. - i wish such a kind of training would be banned. These are deterrent examples.

This is Dog lovers forum, okay. But who loves his Dog he tries to find the way to keep him healthy and in good physical and mental shape. And if people find images posted there disturbing it is good, because they can understand the difference between REAL Dog fighting and FITNESS Dog fighting.

Dear Tessa,

sick enjoyment out of watching dogs fight...

No. All what i say is that if Dogs will not fight a bit (i mean a safe and light fitness Dog fighting form), they will degenerate. And because i love them i do not want let them degenerate. That's all.

Dear oriondw,

When Dogs are fitted with muzzles they cannot behave naturally. Please read the difference explanation posted on my site again. Don't you see the big difference?

Dear fizzdoggy,

If this would be stopped, Dogs will degenerate. You suppose that i do harm to Dogs? No. I am helping them!

This is the most idiotic subject I've ever seen. No dog needs to fight to stay "fit".

What the...... why would anyone want dog aggressive dogs? And to get pleasure from it is disgusting. This is just a cover up for "dog fighting people".

This has nothing to do with fitness!!! There are better things you can do for fitness. You people just don't get the sick enjoyment from the other activities, such as hiking, swimming, running, playing ball, walking, frisbee, any many more activities for fitness.

Fighting dogs to any degree is solely for the enjoyment of the sick owners. It does nothing to benefit the dog. But, I can think of many negative effects it will have on a dog.

Is that your site?????

And is that your Dog Fighting Forum listed at the bottom of the page????

I personally would not allow my dog to be involved.

Are you not teaching the dogs to fight other dogs while your out walking with it?.

How would you like it if I got a 6ft fella to start a fight with you and call it fight training?.

Dear Julie,

"...hiking, swimming, running, playing ball, walking, frisbee, any many more activities for fitness..."

That all sounds very nice but i am afraid that it is not sufficient to keep the Dog fit. My Fitness Dog Fighting has not only physical factor but also a mental one. It allows males to show their dominance and maleness as such. Some dominance tendencies are a natural part of maleness and when two adult males meet each other, at least one of them (if not both of them) will show some dominance and the other one has to deal with it not only physically but also mentally. If males will display no aggression and/or dominance toward/over other males they would cease to be males in the proper meaning of the word. And my Fitness Dog Fighting keep the Dogs fit not only physically but also mentally. Dominance positions and stances, a bit of snapping - that all is necessary to keep the Dog fit. Playing and agility-type training is missing this factor. That is why a complete physical training joined with my Fitness Dog Fighting is better that all the other ways of Dog training.

The site is mine but the forum is not mine and i do not know its owner.

Dear Calibra,

I practise FITNESS Dog fighting only two times a life, its about 2 - 5 minutes of fighting a life. Is that too much? I do not pitching Dog on another one. No. Please see fitness Dog fighting rule no. 4, posted on my site.

Hay, no one on this site agree's with you (from what I can see)

Any agression be it 1min, 10min, 1 hour is out of the question. I want a family dog, not a figher and I assume it's the same with everyone else here.

I have never ever attacked any user on any of the forums. But when my mentality is disrespected and my intelligence insulted ... then I am sorry I'll retaliate.
All this BS and cr#p about dominance and maleness is nothing but BS and CR#P. That site is sick and whoever came up with the idea of Dog Fighting for Fitness is even more sick and is in urgent need of mental and physcological help.

I hope that this thread get's Chazhound's attention and delete it and if possible just ban Pavel. We use this forum to help each other solve dog problems not create more.

I have written an ebook on Dogs called "The Degeneration Of The Dog Family", its low-quality sample is posted on my site. Please take a look at my theory of Dogs degeneration:

http://www.fitness-dog-fighting.com/degeneration/genetics.html - Degeneration And Genetics

http://www.fitness-dog-fighting.com/degeneration/degeneration1.html - The Degeneration Of The Dog Family

As i know from experience, when Dogs do not fight during several generations their ability to defend and/or fight is decreasing gradually. I have met a Dogue de Bordeaux male that was NOT able to defend when attacked by a strange Dog. Of course, his owners were "Dog lovers" so that he treat their Dogue in such a way he could degenerate as quickly as possible... Is you Dog able to defend when attacked by a strange Dog? The ability of defending/fighting have to be kept during all the Dogs generations in a reasonable degree by using reasonable means.
