We have 3 orandas. They have grown a LOT since I bought them and they are huge. They are in a large tank, but we may need an even bigger one before long! Little buggers. Two of them matured quickly and developed breeding stars on their gills and pectoral fins. The other one is just developing breeding stars now. The largest fish has now developed two large growths on both pectoral fins where the breeding stars where/are. The fish is overall healthy, water is good, eat well, no marks, rips, tears etc etc etc etc. They are symmetrical, same place on each fin. No other lumps anywhere, scales all healthy. Is it normal for the breeding stars to develop into growths or is this something we should be concerned about - I can't find anything through google. The second fish looks like it's are also going to end up the same. I will try and get some pics tomorrow.
