Hi all. We took CeCe to the local Soggy Doggy today. Our first dog wash. I don't know how many of you have similar facilities but the first time I saw the place I was struck with the idea, in a business sort of way.

They have a half dozen tubs (at various heights) set up with blow dryers. They provide everything you need; combs, brushes, towels, shampoo and conditioner. The staff is right there to help in any way you need. The young lady assistant clipped the tips of CeCes nails for me and took some thinning shears to her britches. They were getting way long and difficult to keep clean. All for $13.50 (and almost $60.00 of brushes, toys and treats). They also introduced me to a tool called a Zoom Groom. It's a rubber brush made/marketed by Kong. What a neat tool! Loose hair just flies off of her. I bought one of those suckers.

CeCe trembled and shook during the entire process, about an hour, but pranced out of the shop with her black coat shiny and her white parts white again. I didn't realize how dingy she was getting. :(

Our little girl is clean and beautiful again. :D

I'll try to post some pix on CeCe's photo page. http://winkinblinkin.home.comcast.net/images/CeCephotos.html

It's a pretty good deal and within walking distance.
Soggy Doggy

Considering the amount of hair we brushed and washed off of her I'd hate to be cleaning up the bathroom at home afterwards. I wish we had one of these when I had my Chow Chow.

We have something similar here called U Wash Puppy, though I've never used it. We have a full service grooming salon at work, so I can just use all that stuff for free. :D

Sawyer sympathizes; he hates the process but loves looking good afterwards!

Those places sound like fun!!! Mine only grace my local bathroom for their bathing needs...makes a mess, but at least it's free. ;)
