Hi, I have a she-mutt named Lucy. We got her from the Humane society over the weekend. She is 7months old. She has a few issues but is over all a super sweet girl. I am having issues with her going potyy outside. She seems to have changed in the past day. She used to do her business in one area, but now If I take her out and use a prompting word she sniffs around and then lies down. When I try to get her to get up she just lays there and I have to practically drag her to the house. I don't know what the deal is. She hasn't pooped since last night at 5pm...Any ideas?

Lucy is settling in and it's not unusual for that to happen. Be patient with the potty training issue...they can seem potty trained and then when they have changes in their lives it can make them re-gress a bit.

I recently rescued a two year old Dachshund who was supposedly potty trained and I'm having a terrible time with him right now. It can be really frustrating at times. It's important to remember that these dogs go through alot while they are displaced in shelters. It has to be really traumatic for them. I wish you good luck. :)

It's too soon for you to know her routine. Give her time and patience. She'll come around.

Welcome!
