Greetings All,

Check out this Youtube video of my mixed breed dog Coda and me at our first agility trial earlier this year.

My trainer discouraged me from entering...she did not feel we were ready...and she was right!

Oh well, it will be funny to look back on when she's pro and I can give her good directions.

Or go to Youtube and search Coda NADAC

You guys did good in the beginning! AND you were able to get him back (the first time) and continue working with you. I bet it being a new place and lots of smell (horse barns suck for trialing) that's help it being your first time either LOL.

Haha thanks for sharing that! My first run in a horse ring had a couple moments like that lol...

How's your training been going since?

Hah.. reminds me of my first NADAC run too. We did Touch N Go, did the first 5 obstacles or so and then it was a straight tunnel.. she rocketed out of it and never looked back! AND we were outside so I was terrified

That's okay, you both had fun, I noticed that at my next trial my dog had done a lot of growing up, and stuck with me the whole time.

LOL! That was too cute. I'm always afraid that would happen with me & Jackson! ha. We have yet to take classes, but hope to in the future.

You guys had a really solid start, and you did manage to get him back at first so those are all positive things:)

Few people are going to have perfect runs their first trial, and even fewer when it's their first time as a handler, but at least you've found something your dog enjoys and that you too can continue to build on togther.

Keep us posted on how everything goes down the road,

Cheers
Kayla
