Any guidelines on how to go about doing this?
Ruckus has 5 different dog shampoos because i like the smells, and sometimes i will buy one on impulse and realize i dont like it!

Is there anything wrong with using dog shampoos from walmart? thats where all of mine came from. there is this one shampoo that is 100% natural that just has vit e, raspberry, and a few other natural ingredients. i like it, but it smells alcoholic!!
the others are hartz shampoos.
Ruckus gets monthly baths. if i dont give him a monthly bath his rear end starts to stink!!! whats up with that?

Personally, I'd never purchase any Hartz products for a number of reasons. About 5/6 years ago we used to buy our dog shampoo from Wal-Mart, but never Hartz, and we only got ours from there because we didn't know there was better out there. Now that I've discovered other shampoos, I'd never go back to the cheaper stuff. They just don't do as good a cleaning job as the higher quality shampoos, and they can be really harsh on a dog's skin and coat. My Wal-Mart doesn't have any all natural shampoos anyway (well, not the last time I checked - I barely ever shop there).

As far as bathing monthly, that's not uncommon for a lot of dogs and shouldn't harm him at all. I'm not sure why he'd have an odour though.

I like all natural dog shampoos... I don't like putting harsh soaps and chemicals onto my dog's skin... Dogs have so many oils in their skin, and crappy shampoos can really deplete them and make their skin dry and flakey.

We use Earth Bath, and I really like this product. It makes them smell so good as well!

No problem! Also, I've noticed I use a lot less of this shampoo than any other shampoo I've ever used... it does a really great job.

Another plug for Earthbath...we use Mango Tango on Melvin, and the Tea Tree Oil and Aloe Vera on Chumper Jane. All natural, mild, and non-detergent. Can be used for frequent bathing, and it smells great!

Ronin gets BioGroom Harsh Coat (to keep his coat, well... harsh!) but Ilsa gets anything of quality, really. Pure Paws, Chris Christensen, Bio Groom, Tropiclean, Nova Pearls, Nature's Specialties... you name it!
