My parents (next door to me) just got their 6' privacy fence finished.

The day it was done may have been one of the greatest days in Tallulah's life.

There is a large, screened in porch that opens onto a long deck that's open on the far end with two steps down. Tallulah stands at the door of the porch, eyes focused on the door, hams twitching, barely containing herself as she waits for me to open the door . . . .

And then . . . .

You'd think someone just opened the starting gate at Churchill Downs. She takes off like Seattle Slew. I don't think her feet touch the ground more than three times down that first 15 or 20 feet. The last time her feet touch the deck is at the end of it, where she launches herself out into the air.

She hits the ground running, races around the entire L shaped yard, leaps down the embankments my dad had dug out to extend the driveway, soars up the grade behind the house and continues the loop, stopping every now and then to make sure I'm watching, which I am because she is gorgeous to watch in motion.

I can't wait until Kharma's out of heat and I can turn her loose out there to run with Tallulah -- and stalk and herd Tallulah :rofl1:

I can't wait until we have our new fence built -- I have a feeling it's going to be the same idea for our girls and boy, here.

I need me some Tallulah pictures, me thinks. You should have tried to video her that day!

Congrats on the new fence! Fences are great... I couldn't imagine not having a fenced in yard after having one now.

It definitely sounds like it was the best day of Tallulah's life. She is so thankful and that's her way of showing it. I loved your description of her zoomies. It was great! One thing missing: Pictures! Of course, you'd need a very fancy lense to keep up with her speed. LOL. A fence is sooooo nice and in many cases, a must. That is so nice for you all.

I bet it was fun watching her--joyful little pittie!
That is one of my favorite things about Pitties -- the overwhelming joie de vivre they all seem to have, no matter how life has treated them.

If we could only be half as happy and sweet natured as APBTs . . . .

I'm going to have to get some new batteries and film for the old Nikon. I've got a couple of lenses that should catch her just fine -- the ones I used to shoot wrestling :D
