Ferrets!

So I decided to get ferrets. I've wanted them for a while and I happened upon an ad on Craigslist rehoming two ferrets.

I'm not really sure of their background. The white one, which we named Pandora, is a female and about 2 years old. The other, which we named Loki, is a male who is about 10 months old.

I blame JessLough for enabling me. Anyway, on to what you REALLY want. PICTURES!

(These are crappy cell phone pictures. I haven't joined the mega camera bandwagon yet. Not to mention these little buggers are hard to shoot!)

We're also getting a new cage and all the ferret stuffs! The cage they came with is... well used.

Gwen is not impressed with the ferrets. She's not sure if she needs to protect us from them or chase them. And don't worry. They will not be/have not been left together unsupervised.

EEEEEEPPPP! <3 I'm so happy for you! I've wanted ferrets forever. Starting to think it won't ever happen, but we'll see! I've experienced a lot of allergies with small animals recently. I want to meet some ferts that are on a raw diet and see if their smell effects me less or not. But anyway, your babies are ADORABLE and I love their names!

I think we have some allergies to them but I'm hoping a change of diet (they're on like $5 cat food) and a bath might help. Also new stuff and keeping them clean.


Loki chattered and chased me last night. Its adorable.

Dora is a bit more mellow but just as cute!
