Clara is on our shortlist. I really liked Calla but DH wasn't crazy about it. Azaliah is really nice too - I have a feeling he would feel the same way about that one lol Not too sure I'd be crazy about Liah being the short version though.

I have a coworker with a little girl named Nixon and one of my friends has a daughter called Kennedy. I've told DH that if we ever have triplet girls we're naming them Regan, Nixon, and Kennedy... :D
Hahahaha clever

We have a lady in our homeschool co op and some
Of her kids names are elijah, jude and gideon. I like all three of those

We have another lady in co op and her son is named Enoch as in eee-knock. Weird lol

There is the CUTEST little girl in my preschool class named Adalynn as in add-a-lin. Love the name and the kid is just as adorable as the name. She looks like Annie. Bright orange auper curly ringlet hair. GAH i want to squeeze her lol

Oh, I really like Persephone, too. But I think I'll save that for a dog. I think it might be a bit *too* out there for a human child.

Actually, all my names are probably going to the dogs. Except Anthony Gabriel. So I'm screwed if I ever have a girl. Lol

It's not pronounced like Carrie, though. It's pronounced like "County Kerry" in Ireland. She's not named after that, though- my parents just liked the name! But Carrie is pronounced like "carry," and my sister's is pronounced like "berry" with a k.
Okay, now I'm SUPER confused! I pronounce "carry" and "berry" exactly the same way!!!
I pronounce the names Barry and Carrie the same way, and that's how every Carrie I've known has pronounced their name.

Kerri rhymes with berry, Jerry, Terri, for example!
I'm still saying it the same way. I think it's a southern thing :lol-sign:
We say it as Keh-ree :)
OMG. Those are ALL THE SAME!! *head explodes* :rofl1:

Totally missed the clip. Listened to it. Still don't hear it :p

Yes some of the old fashioned names are coming back my other niece has a daughter named Eleanor I like some of those names listed here's another 1 alexa like that 1 it's just pronounce it's juspronounced regular lol like carry, depends on accents I guess. it getes
My mom named my little sister Emma Grace. She's 4 1/2. I was mad because it's sooo dreadfully common now again. Emma was the #1 name the year she was born, I believe. But I still think it's a very sweet name and DO love it. I'm just one of those "I don't want my kid to have the same name as everyone else" people lol.

I know a little girl named Emma Grace. :) Just a bit older, though. I've never known anyone else to know the name. Now I feel odd walking around with a shirt supporting Emma Grace in her struggle against leukemia (even though she's done with chemo now).

OK, I just listened to the full clip and 2 things:
1) You ARE a dork
2) THOSE ARE ALL THE SAME. The only difference, is how long you roll the R

Ian ranks as name #72 in 2011 with SSA. The name Parker (one of our possible names) is #79. I've never met a Parker, and I've only known one other Ian while I was in school.

It's horrible when he tells someone his name, or if we order food and they try to "read" the name. He's gotten everything from "Eon," "eye-on", "Ivan," "Ann"... and then has to correct them.
Gosh I know tons of Ians and Parkers. I find that Parker is more common than Ian, though. There is a Parker in just about every class here. Ian has only become more common in recent years so I could see that it would have been unpopular when he was growing up.

When I say marry, bury, Carrie, Kerri, Barry, Jerry, hairy, carry, Mary, Larry, Harry etc they all rhyme and sound exactly the same with the exception of the first letter. The way Jessie says them in the clip also sounds exactly the same except how long she drags the "r" out BUT I do know people who pronounce "Carrie, marry, Larry, Harry, and carry differently than I do. They say it more like "CAH-ree" so I figured that's what Jessie meant. lol Am I right?

We are Croatian so most of our names are weird. ;) I haven't decided if I will go with our traditional spelling or Americanize the names...I guess it will depend on what my husband wants!

My favorites are Ljiljana (L-yil-yana) and Danijela (Dan-yela). For boys I've always liked Goran. :)

We seriously considered Enoch and Elijah for Samuel, but he just seemed like a Samuel once he was born.

My family has some pretty weird family names but I love them.

Konstantinos (Kosta for short)
Vasilios
Stavroula
Magdalene (I LOVE this name)
Leona
Athanasia

Vinal

Yeah, I listened to the clip too. And while I get the theory(Pen, Pan, keer-e and care-e), it sounded like she said the same thing twice. Lol.
