Expecting another litter...

Are we going over the same things we have already gone over in this thread? I see this going nowhere. He explained things and now we are bringing it back up again... for him to explain... again? Ok, I get it.

Now what is the ultimate goal here? To bash him and run him off the board for good, or to take his word for it and hope for the best.. keeping him here where he could possibly get some good advice for the future. Pick one. It sounds like he wants to do things right. Now lets help.

We all know he has made some horrible mistakes, and thats old news.

I think you've got their motives wrong.. Filly helpfully pointed them out here, in case you missed them, however.

No but I think that everyone patting him on the back and saying how great it is that he's learned should know that he left another board when confronted with the fact that though GREAT breeders tried to give him good advice and he didn't want to do the right thing then.

Do I believe he's different now?

No but if you all just want the wool pulled over your eyes yet again by yet another breeder than I'll leave it alone.

I just hate to see yet another person ruining the breed I love so much.

This is the internet folks, anyone can say what they want, put titles on their dogs if they want, scam people if they want to.

His original post was about an upcoming litter out of his male. A sales post in my opinion.
While he admits his mistakes,,actions speak louder than words and again, In my Opinion,
after reading lots of his "breeding practices" posts, he hasn't learned one thing.

Just an opinion :))

Well, I HOPE he is different now and is making changes. I know he has made awful choices in the past, but like baha said, I believe people can change. There is no guarantee of it. Maybe he really does not plan on making things right and that is unfortunate, but digging into him again about his past is not going to help the matter, in my opinion.

I just think we should judge what he does in the future. Thats my main point.

LOL, we're arguing over this guy and he hasn't even come back to the thread!

Anyway, I think that no matter how much may have gone wrong in the past; people CAN change. Maybe you can predict the future by looking at the past, but sometimes that's not reality. People CAN change, I've seen it and trust me, I've done it all myself.

I believe he can change, I don't know if he HAS yet, but we'll see. Might as well wait and see rather than argue constantly over it.

OP, I believe you can change, I believe you're perfectly capable of it, it's just a matter of if you follow up to it or not. Good luck, and I believe you can and will.

That's my two cents, see you all around.

:lol-sign: Agreed!!

The OP have been scared off already, but only HE can decide if he's gonna make things right or not in regard to his dogs and any future litters.

To be fair, Dr. Phil is not licensed to practice psychology in any state. He was once licensed in TX, but was reprimanded and freely chose not to follow the ordered requirements to keep his license. Very similar to Ty the GSD, technically eligible for registration, but not actually registered. :p

A good GSD like Ty is intelligent, steadfast, and does it's job the right way. Only the OP can decide if he too will do the same, thus proving himself worthy of such a dog. I hope he does just that.

Completely agree with you, actually! I don't think he "owes" anything to anyone on this forum, including any explanations.

He only owes to himself, his dogs, and any future litters.

More than likely. It won't happen though, I love this too much to quit, and I'm going to correct it. I keep posting just... well, I really don't know why.

I've joined a local AKC based dog club. I'm going to show my dogs and put AKC obedience titles on them. Eventually, I may breed these two again. I don't know. The breeding with Six was to be my first reputable breeding, but uhh yeah. I don't expect that will happen now.

:lol-sign: Agreed!!

The OP have been scared off already,.
Hardly, it was my weekend. I post at work when I'm sitting behind a computer for hours with no real work to do. ;)

Good for you for slowing down a bit!! No need to rush things, right?

LOL ... that's when I post too! Vom, glad ya didn't run off. When I had typed "The OP have been scared off already" ... it should have read MAY have been. Shoulda edited that ... as it was left it's not even gramatically correct. Gotta be a "may" in there or "have" needs to be "has". ;)

Anyway, looking forward to more pics and news of your current dogs ... they're gorgeous! :)

Rushing is a terrible problem I have in life... I'm motivated, driven and terribly impatient. It's hurt my career more than a few times, too.

I am glad you came back, and I hope you can do your dogs (and yourself) justice by future actions Vom :)

I really mean that.

P.S. I am a VERY impatient person too.......luckily I am also a research-aholic, so the researching slows down my impatiences somewhat :lol-sign:

Me too. I did nothing to correct the egregious maladies of my actions before, and allowed them to grow and get worse. I got caught up again here, backed into a corner, and forced to get the weight off of my shoulders. It feels good. I'm glad I finally have a cleanish slate upon which I have a chance to build a new reputation.

In the end, I know I have nothing to prove to anyone, but for my own feelings of adequacy, I'm going to prove it to you people.

Your BREED and your DOGS are the ones who deserve better, and deserve to be respected enough for you to give it to them.

Good for you for wanting to try!

You can't do a darn thing about what has already happened. You can't make it go away, and you can't make it better, but you CAN start with a different foot forward from right now.

More power to you if you can do it.

Thanks!

Also worth noting... I've found a local trainer who does Schh. If he is certified to title dogs under the UScA, Ty'll be a UScA schutzhund titled dog very soon.

Vomdom... I love seeing your posts, and your dogs, and I hope that condescending statements don't scare you away from Chaz. Trust me, we have all bared the brunt of those. And we have ALL made mistakes with our dogs. Anyone who denies that is clearly lying.

You are honest about your mistakes, and remorseful, and you have learned from them, and that's all that matters now. It's very, very obvious that you adore your dogs and your breed.

Good luck with Ty's future litter. I would, actually, LOVE a Ty junior... if only.
