Estevan, Saskatchewan has decided to try and implement BSL. Saskatchewan already has a great Dangerous Dog Bylaw that covers ALL breeds.

Everyone please sign this petition to stop it. I know it is far away from most of you but please please sign.

I am trying to do everything I can to stop it but one person can only do so much. This petition was started by someone else already. Thanks sooooo much to everyone in advance.

You can find there petition here: http://www.petitiononline.com/eddb

Edited to add: If you want to make it so everyone can read your comments please click on public at the bottom. Thanks again.

Man, the problem with these online petitions is they're not very well-written much of the time. I wish people would take more time to make them at least look professional. And only residents can sign that one unfortunately.

This never makes me popular but honestly, honestly, honestly the best way to get the politicians attention is to send in a handwritten letter. They dont' care about petitions. A handwritten letter, typed letter, or phone call by one person has a LOT more weight than a petition, even when done correctly. If I was you I'd write a letter to the editor for your local paper explaining what was going on and encouraging people to contact your MLA either in person, if he works in your town, or by writing/calling him. Also contact any other organizations you can think of and get everyone you know to do the same. I've had MLAs tell me this firsthand. They care about certain issues too and they encourage people to call. If they say they have half a dozen passionate people taking 5 or 10 minutes out of their day to share how they feel it has a lot more weight than someone signing their name while walking in a mall (example.)

Hey Saje. Thanks, I am currently in the process of doing all these things. This is not happening in my home town thank dog, but I am still going to fight it. I am getting help from the Dog Legislation Coucil Of Canada with this also so that will help a lot.

Online petitions have no credibility. They are useless. They don't have bill numbers, therefore they won't be taken seriously. Regardless of how many signatures.

We are hick here. It might just give them the idea anyway lol! We are in the process of doing a bunch of other things right now anyways, but its still something a little extra to throw in their faces if need be. I never started the petition. I just found it. May as well try whatever we can right?
