Erratic wireless Internet connection

For the past two or three weeks I keep getting a "your network connection is unstable" message on my phone and tablet. When this happens, my wifi connection to my PS3 is also shoddy and I may or may not get booted off my play station network and netflix stops working entirely. This really wouldn't bother me except for the Netflix thing. That is the only TV I have.

Sometimes restarting the router works, other times it doesn't. And the entire issue is getting very, very annoying. Does anyone know what may be causing the problem and/or how I could go about fixing it?

Who is your service provider? Do you rent a modem/router or do you have your own?

You may have to contact your service provider. They can test it for you and see what the problem is. It's possible you may need a new router, we've been through a couple. I hated it, too

My guess woukd be an issue with the line.

I'd call service provider, they could at least check the problem.

Service provider is Comcast, although I do have my own (old) router. Hesitant to call Comcast again because the last time they were less than helpful...suppose I'll have to muddle through them again.

If you call, they can at least tell you if the problem is on their end (line) or your router. It's possible the router needs to be replaced if its too old.
