Eggshell Question

How do I make eggshell powder without using a blender? Would it be okay to just crush them until they're tiny fragments (but not powderized)? And how much do I give my dog? She weighs 20 lbs.

You could use a mortar and pestle or a coffee grinder. That's what I use. You wouldn't need much for a little dog like that. I can't remember the ratio but I'll try and find it.

Make sure you dry them out.........it's easier to get them to 'powder' Baking them in the oven for 10-15 minutes works for me.

Tiny fragments won't measure up the same as powder, and as far as my reading or information goes, it is 1/2 tsp (900mg) per 1 pound of food.
