Early spaying effect on mammary tumors

    Maybe this is old news, maybe it's been hashed out before... but I was bored at work today and doing some journal reading and came across this little tidbit:

    (I didn't actually read this part because studies bore me)

    I just found it interesting! I know we're all pretty open-minded about when to spay; but preventing mammary tumors is usually the first reason people spout off for why you should spay early.

    Nobody is going to convince me that spaying relatively early doesn't reduce risk of mammary tumors. Just based on what I've personally seen.
