OK, so I have those 6 weddings I have to go to this summer and although I bought some new dresses. I need more new dresses. I was going to wear the same few dresses to the weddings, but I would prefer to have more options so then I knew what wedding it was by what dress I was wearing in the pictures ha ha, plus a girl can always use more dresses <3 So which ones do you guys prefer?

So here are my options so far:

I'd choose between the first two--both are cute. The rest of them seem inappropriate for a wedding, imo. I'd absolutely avoid "hot block" and "impressive instant". Good for a night out on the town, not so much a friend's wedding!

I agree with Cali. If someone had shown up to our wedding wearing either of those, I'd have been mad. The rest are cute, though! Why not get them all so you have options? ;)

Honestly, my first thought, except for the first dress and the "daisy" one, is that they're all really inappropriate for a wedding. It's considered rude to try to dress "sexy" at a wedding or wear anything daring, as it takes away from the attention on the bride. Plus most of those wouldn't fly for any kind of church wedding. And black is a wedding no-no, as well, since you don't want to look like you're attending a funeral - although these days I think if you accessorize with color, it's ok if the dress is tasteful/fun enough.

The first one is pretty and perfect for a wedding, but the color looks like it might not be great on all skin tones, especially paler ones. The "daisy" one is also pretty...it's not something I'd choose to wear to a wedding (doesn't seem very wedding-y) but I don't think that's logical, just my weird taste.

I agree with everyone else. Not a big fan of any but the first two would at least be somewhat appropriate for a wedding

I LOVE the Impressive Instant dress. Love it. And now I want it :rofl1:

You could always just pair it with a crop jacket (unless it's a boiling hot summer day). To be honest, I don't find it too sexy and certainly not daring, and have seen dresses with open backs and cutouts and slits at weddings before. I can see how the Hot Block dress would seem a little more "night out and about", though.

Actually it's super common to wear black to weddings now - especially if it's an evening event. The last wedding I was at, the entire bridal party wore black dresses and at least 1/4th of the female guests were in black. I was in red, another supposedly "taboo" wedding colour, except I asked my friend and she told me it would be perfect. *shrug*

What is taboo for a wedding is whatever the bride and groom thinks is taboo. I wouldn't care if a friend of mine showed up in any of those dresses, except the black one, because I would be insanely jealous that it's SO CUTE and I don't have the rack to fill it out. The only people who are looking at what the guests are wearing as opposed to looking at the bride are the people there scoping for a date anyway.

I'm not a huge fan of the Hot Block dress though, it just doesn't look as cute as the others. I think the first two are super adorable though. And if I had boobs I would be buying the Game On dress immediately. I want to buy it immediately anyway and invest in some kind of miracle bra, except with that back I don't think I can wear a bra with it, DAMMIT IT'S SO CUTE CURSE YOU LACK OF CLEAVAGE.

This one is cute too:

But lilac is a questionable color with skintones sometimes...

This is a cute black dress too, I like the layered skirt:

Ooh and they totally have that sweet surrender one in pink, I love it in pink!!

Those are super cute as well beanie. I just love this website. And I think you could totally wear those dresses with no boobs. I have no boobs and I just plan on tapping my nipples down and wearing no bra with any one of those dresses. Ha ha ha, but I'm scandulouse like that

LOL, gladly!! I love all the dresses you linked, and am especially a fan of the cutout, the high/low bottom, and all things nude, peach, and pastel in general.

I understand that everyone will have different opinions, but it's such a case by case scenario. Like Beanie said, there's no universal taboo. For every bride and guest who may find the dresses "wedding inappropriate", there will be just as many (if not more) who will LOVE it. The dresses you linked to are trendy and pretty, not daring or bold IMO.

The link to the Chiffon Trapeze dress doesn't work, but I looked it up and love it as well: http://www.nastygal.com/product/chiffon-trapeze-dress

I want that one, too :p I would still prefer the Impressive Instant dress for weddings, though.

That's exactly how I felt. I think the Impressive Instant is really cute and do not find it to be super revealing, but it would depend on the couple/how their guests would perceive it.

I don't really care for any of them, but out of the ones linked I would go with the Daisy, Game On, or the little black on Beanie linked.
