Dora got her CGC today

we hopped over the border and got her tested; passed with flying colours. The tester thought she was very nice; and Dora was pretty good putting up with all the black and white fluffies there -- it was a friend's border collie litter reunion day; we were the only non-black&white and non-fluffy there!

So next up is SABT appraisal; then health tests (hips and elbows, eyes and Canine Degenerative Myelopathy), then BH, then maybe breeding in February; yay!!!

Thanks guys for the nice comments and Renee; we think we've found him; we are looking at the sire of the world's only SchHIII Boerboel; who my mentor has loved for years and who produces not only typey dogs, but good working dogs and good family dogs; very important because I've got some homes for each type; so looking for a nicely balanced litter.

I've now seen two dogs tonight which I was unfamilliar with before these threads.

What a very pretty dog. I looked them up. Very formidable!! I enjoy reading about the very powerful breeds.

But, the more I read the more I realize that those guys require a very certain type of owner! Maybe one day I could be that kind of owner, but I would not want to jump into boerbels with out lots and lots of research!
