Have you tried showing your mom the videos? I think those would change anyone's mind, they're so horrible. :(

Well my breeder, although very reputable amongst the Beagle community in Texas, was feeding my puppy, who I picked up today, IAMS Puppy. Ironically, he is a beagle ! Anyways, I fed his dinner mixed with about half IAMS and half Canidae so he wouldn't get an upset stomach. I am going out first thing tomorrow to grab a bag of Canidae and put him on that within 2 days !!!! The IAMS is going in the trashhh.

My dog does great on Pro Plan. Purina has made dog food longer than anybody.
And years ago when they first started out as an independent company they did make good food. Now they have been bought by Nestle I believe and thier ingredients have gone downhill, they up their profits while the ingredients suffer. It is no longer a superior food, you can do much better for the price you are already paying.

Right now my pup is on Purina Large breed puppy. We were feeding her science diet at first, then she seemed to like the purina better. What food IS good to feed? All the stuff I have heard of seems to be bad!

Oh--and what is BSL? (Sorry, it might be a dumb question)

BSL Stands for Breed Specific Legislation...like banning pit bulls in Denver and Ontario.

Good foods include, Innova, Eagle Pack, Canidae, California Natural...there are others but I can't remember them all. I persoanlly feed Canidae because it is for all life stages so my puppy and my senior can both eat it. If you search through this forum you can find other foods that are considered healthy.
