hi! i have a golden retriever, penny and i've trained her to jump over things and i'm thinking about training her in other aspects of agility... she can jump a solid 2'6" (it was a picnic table on it's side) which i personally think is pretty impressive (maybe because i taught her myself.. but you know ) but to the point:
my friend and i ride horses and she's been looking into lots of different horses' confirmation to determine if they'd be a good jumper and i was wondering, do people do that for dogs that are being trained for agility? (i know they do for the dog shows...) like i know for horses, you want their back legs under them, and don't want them build downhbill, and the long versus short back is debatable, but i was wondering if trainers have similar standards for dogs that do agility? just curious!
thanks, meg
