There is a group that started up in my county earlier this year and I want to do stuff with the little black & white. fuzzy Plus, still being new to the area I thought it might be a good way to meet other dog people.

Anyone have any experience? Good? Bad? Indifferent?

One of the posters on here is at a scout camp at the moment, I'll pm her on facebook and see if she can do a report. Looks like fun but nothing like that up here.

Looked fun, nothing here though. They told me to start my own chapter. Can't say I had the time.

I am currently at dog scout camp in Texas. I love it so much, and so do my dogs. It is basically a positive reinforcement focused, non-competitive way to do sports with your dogs. My sister Karen actually designed the website, and my family runs our local dog scout troop. What questions do you have?

thanks guys. I didn't have any particular questions, I was just wondering what everyone's experience was. I'm sure the attitude and personality of the groups vary a lot.

I have never heard bad things about Dog Scouts. I was member for a year, but I had a hard time getting to the local activities.

There are a lot of different activities and the camps are great. Everything is very positive.
