So, I am having to buy the best I can get in town for the time being. The best I can get isn't great at all. I don't have a whole heap of choices that is for sure. My choices are the wonderful Walmart brands (Dog Chow, Pedigree, Ol'Roy etc.), Nutro (which I am definately not happy with) or Prism (made by Eagle Pack). I am currently feeding my dogs Prism. Can you please let me know if I made the right choice given that I don't have a lot of choices right now. The ingredients for Prism are listed below. Thanks.

Chicken Meal, Ground Yellow Corn, Ground Brown Rice, Chicken Fat (Naturally Preserved with Mixed Tocopherols & Citric Acid), Pork Meal, Dried Beet Pulp, Fish Meal, Brewers Rice, Flaxseed, Dried Egg Product, Brewers Dried Yeast, Salt, Potassium Chloride, DL-Methionine, Vitamin A Acetate, Vitamin D3 Supplement, Vitamin E Supplement, Vitamin B12 Supplement, Riboflavin Supplement, Niacin Supplement, Choline Chloride, Folic Acid, Biotin, Rosemary Extract, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Thiamine Mononitrate, Sodium Selenite, Manganese Sulfate, Zinc Oxide, Copper Sulfate, Ethylene Diamine Dihydriodide, Calcium Carbonate.

I should also point out that they use hormone free chicken.

I remember Mordy talking about Prism many moons ago. It's really not a bad food, just the Eagle Pack "budget" line and is comparable to Healthwise which is Innova's "budget" line. Out of the options you have, I definitley think you made the right choice. EP as a company actually uses good quality chicken and corn etc. If you compare the Prism ingredients to the regular Eagle Pack, it's not that different.

Ingredients for Eagle Pack Original Adult:
Pork Meal, Ground Yellow Corn, Ground Brown Rice, Ground White Rice, Chicken Meal, Chicken Fat (Preserved With Natural Mixed Tocopherols), Dried Beet Pulp, Anchovy & Sardine Meals, Oatmeal, Brewers Dried Yeast, Flaxseed, Wheat Germ Meal, Dried Egg Product, Salt, Potassium Chloride, Carrots, Peas, Yucca Schidigera Extract, DL-Methionine, Vitamin A Acetate, Vitamin D3 Supplement, Vitamin E Supplement, Riboflavin Supplement, Vitamin B12 Supplement, d-Pantothenic Acid, Niacin Supplement, Choline Chloride, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Thiamine Mononitrate, Folic Acid, Ascorbic Acid, Biotin, Lecithin, Rosemary Extract, Inositol, Kelp, Polysaccharide Complexes Of Zinc, Iron, Manganese, Copper and Cobalt, Potassium Iodate, Sodium Selenite, Lactobacillus acidophilus, Lactobacillus casei, Enterococcus faecium, B. subtilus, Bacillus licheniformis, Bacillus coagulins, Aspergillus oryzae, and Aspergillus niger.

Have you asked the place that you buy your Prism at if they can special order you Eagle Pack?

No I actually never thought of that. Eagle Pack can't be that expensive is it? (not that it matters). I only pay $27.99 for 40 lbs of the adult formula which I thought was extremely cheap! That would be great if they could order me in Eagle Pack though. I will definately ask them about that.
