It's been all over the news here. The thing that ticks me off is they kept showing the spot on the sidewalk, shots of the street, etc. and nobody had bothered to block off the sidewalk, put cones or a rubber mat or anything around the plate that killed the dog, which the power company said was still a problem. Ugh.

It is hard to get someone to listen. We have this fountain at Crown Center in KC that sprays water jets up in the air in synchronized patterns to music. WHile I was there with Victor we walked past a metal plate. HE jumped up and screamed like something had nailed him. He whipped around and touched it with his nose before i had time to figure out what was going on and screamed and leaped in the air again. Here we are at at fountain where children are running in and out of the water barefoot, chasing each other and being silly. That was the reason his feet were wet because we had crossed near the edge of it to cool of in the spray.. I saw a couple men working on something electrical near by. I went over and tried to explain to them that I thought there was danger. They grudgingly finally went over and put a cone on it. THEre had to be 15 some odd children playing not 30 feet away. I don't get why they behaved like I was bothering them.

I guess it's a good thing the dogs walk around the metal spots on the ground instead of on them.
