Note that the "before" picture is highly disturbing . . . if they did not tell me that animal was alive, I would have assumed it was a corpse.

I hope they find the ^*($%$) who did this.

wow. I finally steeled myself enough to look at the pictures. He looked even worse than Miracle the Doberman. God bless him, I hope he pulls through and has a long remaining life filled with love and comfort.

and I hope the person that did this to him has a long life with every day filled with the exact opposite of love and comfort.

Looks like six months in jail is about the max . . . but that's enough to cost you your home and your job. So she may not go away for a long time, but if they hit her with jail time, it will ruin her . . . not to mention her reputation.

Oh my God. How could someone do that?

We had a client that found a 'pit bull' in similar condition in her garbage can. It was only by miracle that she had to run one more bag of trash out before the garbage truck came and that's when she found Lucy. It took 3 months of intensive care for Lucy to gain enough strength and recoup enough to leave the clinc. It was horrible.

People disgust me. And yet people, like this dog's savious, give me hope. **sigh**

I will never understand that.

If you don't want him, give him away. Take him to a shelter. Dump him by the side of the road. Have him put down. Take him out back and shoot him . . . ANYTHING BUT THIS. Its not that I actually support many of those options, its just that I can't understand how anyone, no matter how irresponsible, could do THIS to an animal.

This is why I fight so hard. This is why I probably come across as "pushy" to many people in terms of canine care, responsibility, options.....etc.

And this is also why I fight ignorance, stupidity, and BSL.

Well, at least she HAS a job. I would have put her up as permanently unemployed.

She studied at DUKE? Jesus, lady, way to waste your opportunities in life.

I sent her a message telling her I hope she rots in hell.

How utterly horrible. More than many things I see this is just... no words. She let him sit there and starve in his crate in her HOME!! I mean if you see a dog this bad off that gets picked up you kind of assume it starved cause it couldn't find food. She had to knowingly ignore this dog every day as he got to this condition sitting her in her appartment!

I suppose this shows that an excellent education is no cure for being a callous moron.


I don't get it either, Dekka . . . I mean, he was right here. She could have fed him almost anything at all . . . and didn't she let him out of his crate? I mean the smell alone would mean she'd have to, wouldn't it? And then to see him . . .how could you not feed him? Its not like he was locked in a barn out back . . .he was right there the whole time. No matter how stupid you were, there's just no way you could overlook it . . . except that she did.
