I don't know what it is with Blue, but she is absolutely fascinated by us going to the bathroom. She will be at one end of the house and, soon as the bathroom door closes, charge over to the door and just sit there, waiting for the person to come out. When the person DOES come out, she just nonchalantly walks off.

Other times you'll be taking a bath or dropping the kids off at the pool or whatever, and she just reaches in with her paw under the door crack and swishes it around a bit. I once took a couple sheets of toilet paper and wiggled it under the door and she immediately snatched it up and tore off down the hall with it.

Is this a cat thing in general (my other two don't do it) or is she just odd? Cats in general are odd (inside and out) but...I don't know. I mean I know she knows what goes on in there but she keeps coming back every time.

With one of my cats, if he sees me get up and assumes I'm headed to the bathroom he'll race in there to join me. If he doesn't make it in before the door shuts he just goes and does something else and forgets all about it. The other cat, cannot stand a shut door with one of his humans on the other side. He too will try to join me in the bathroom, but if he doesn't make it in time he'll sit on the other side of the door and yell at me until I come out. Many times I'll see his paws reaching under the door as well.

Mmm...yeah, my cat has a strange bathroom thing...

If I'm in the bathroom he's got this 6th sense and if the door is closed he'll meow and cry outside of it...

He plays with the water in the bathtub and rolls in it and plays with the drips that come out of the bathtub/shower faucet.

Voting for the 'obsessed with bathroom' category. China has to follow me in and if she doesn't get in she whines, meows, and bats the door. They both enjoy being in there when the baby is taking a bath as well.

Morticia LIVES in the bathroom.. She has found that sleeping on the bathroom mats is most agreeable. She'll get up and rub round you when you go into the bathroom, and then go and plonk herself back down on her mat.

my cat goes to the bathroom with me every time! I leave the door open, since its just hubby and I , and with our work schedules I am usually alone. They cat likes to rub on my legs while I am on the toilet!

My cats are the same way. One of them insists on going into the bathroom with me, though if he's too late he just sits by the door and waits, occasionally reaching paws under the door. Both cats will reach under the door, actually. It can be unnerving sometimes to see eight cat legs all jammed through that little space and waving around.

Now, my cats are in love with the SHOWER, of all things... Ticheli has learned to jump up and balance on top of the shower door in order to reach the showerhead and play with the water. Whitacre will lean on and rattle the door the whole time you're in there, then as soon as you're done he jumps inside and rolls around in the water on the shower floor. When he was younger, he would just sit in the shower with us the whole time.

We have a small room off the bathroom that has all of the cat stuff...boxes, drinking fountain and food..so they get somewhat of a free pass on being in the bathroom. But Abs does love to sit on the other side of the shower curtain while I shower..it is so he can jump in the moment the water is turned off..he likes the water
