Thanks guys! I so appreciate the happy b-day wishes. I did have a grand b-day! My daughter, Emily, her cousin, Misha and Emily's Dad all came from Seattle to visit for the long week end. DrMom....ha ha...you know me. We did go to sing karaoke on Friday night...had a blast. Then yesterday we went on a hike on a trail that goes along side the lake. It was a beautiful day. After that, we headed north about 20 miles and took another big hike that was all up hill (except for the way down, which was down hill. LOL) and which leads up to a beautiful water fall. It's an area where there is granite everywhere. Up further is an ancient cedar grove. Those trees are amazingly huge...just cool! The dogs and we had a real work-out.

So, I had a really nice b-day and it's so nice to have my family visit. I usually go there to Seattle, because it's hard for them to come here with work and all. But there is lots to do here as far as nature type things.

Anyhow, thank you again for your thoughtfulness in wishing me a happy birthday! :)

Thank you Smkie! I wish you could come for a visit too. It is dog heaven here. I bet you and the dogs would love it.

Yesterday, we took a drive way, way up high on the mountain behind my house. Down the highway a little ways there's a logging road that goes off the highway and it's a long climb up. We must have driven for 1/2 an hour or so. At the top, there's a big area where you can look down on the lake and surrounding area....a real panaramic view. You can see the golf course, look down on the roof of the little elementary school and houses and they look small, it's so far up. You can see all the islands in the lake and vast forested mountains, all the way to Canada and Montana to the east. Just an amazing view. Misha is from Chicago and not use to all those hills and forests. Her Mom, on the phone asked her what she thought of Idaho and she said, "It's too beautiful. Why did I move to Seattle?" LOL. Emily told her, "because there's work in Seattle." LOL. So true.

Now they're getting ready to head back west. Weah, weah. I'll miss them.

Thanks again!
