Do you think Zoe is too thin? (pics)

A guy at the dog park today said my dog is too skinny. She is a 52 pound lab/border collie mix, one year old. Here are some recent pics. We think she looks great, but now I don't know.

I think she looks great. I get the same reactions from people with Tango and Morgan. They're both in excellent shape, which unfortunately isn't the norm, so people think that they're too thin/underweight.

Well I have noticed that there are a lot of, er, chubby dogs at the dog park, so maybe some people think if a dogs not roley poley they're skinny

I agree... tons of people say my BC is "too skinny", and it's NOT true. You are supposed to be able to run your fingers down her, and feel her ribs. It's only when the hipbones & spin are visibly protruding that the dog is getting underweight.

Everyone thinks that my Chloe is too skinny... but she's very muscular and in shape. I think that people just aren't used to seeing dogs that aren't overweight.

i think she looks great, i think the expectation of what a dog should actually weigh has gone up due to the obesity crisis. People think bigger is better

agreed A young dog of that breed is hard to keep the weight on. Victor burns up calories so fast he blows my mind. Your dog looks great.

She looks great. I tend to try and keep my dogs fit and on the thin side. I never want them to be overweight, and sadly, far too many dogs are.
Very pretty girl, BTW.

I think she looks great from the pics you posted. What did the dog look like from the person who said she's skinny? Fat? There ya go...
