How many of you here have resumes for your dogs/cats? If so, have you noticed a difference in difficulty when trying to find a place to rent?

I find that my boyfriend and I will probably have to go house hunting again the beginning of next year. Last time, we had two dogs and four cats. This time we have four dogs and four cats. I have been thinking of typing them each a resume, which will include vet, groomer, trainer, and previous landlord recommendations.

Tell me your experience with resumes for your pets.

I don't think a landlord would care who your vet/groomer is. They are concerned with "will the dog pee in the carpet" and "will the cat's claws shred my ___________?"

My "resume" for Lucy had her breeds listed, the training classes we'd taken, that she was a therapy dog, and had contact info for our former landlord.

I think I'd keep it short and sweet, with all animals on one page.

Though really...anyone willing to allow 4 dogs and 4 cats is probably going to be pretty hands off.

Yes. It's just a picture, name, breed, weight, training classes taken, housebroken, references (vet/trainer/passed landlord), proof vaccinations he has, etc..

Renting with pets is a bitch either way but I think the resume at least helps have all the info they want in one place.
