I gave my guinea pig a middle name. At the shelter I got him from, they had named him Nibbles. I discovered that his main character trait is that he likes to nibble a LOT (more so than many other guinea pigs I've had), so even though I renamed him Leo, I felt Nibbles was still appropriate, so his full name is Leo Nibbles [my last name here].

Maybe I should name my car Steve. We've had a running joke for years when we can't think of a name for something it then becomes 'Steve'. Only I think my car looks like a girl.

Morgan and the cats all have middle names. Our system with all our pets is that their previous name (shelter/rescue name, previous owner's name for them, etc.) becomes their middle name.

So we have:

Morgan Rocky
Ticheli Smokey
Whitacre Crumpet

None of the sugar gliders or corn snakes have middle names, because none of them had names previously.

A lot of my rats had middle names, too, since about 90% of them came from rescue.

My car's name is Paige, though I usually just call her "Babe".

I too name my vehicles it started in college when my room mate told me her truck's name was 'Foxy Pete' so we then named my truck 'Sloppy Joe' which was an oxymoron because he's a very nice looking, well taken care of truck, really didn't look his age at all. And my new car's name is Stella.

Yup! We've had Happy Lass, Happy Express, and now Happy Conquistador (don't ask... my ex-BIL got to pick the middle name on that one...) At some point I'll have a Happy of my own and he'll have a unique middle name too.

Auggie is Augustine Dee. I have taken to telling people he's Auggie D and the D stands for "don't" though...
