All the time! Especially with the Dobermans for some reason. But I get it with Dance too. People are always amazed at all that they know and all that they can do, and in public environments. I've had some ask me how much time I put into getting them to the points they're at, and I've had others ask if they came that way. But mostly people compliment me and tell me how good my dogs are and that there is no way they could get their dog to do what mine can. To which I tell those people politely that any dog can, as long as you're willing to learn and put in the time and effort. And for whatever reason, Keira's drop on recall gets the most attention and comments. People love it. They also like watching them stay, of all things.

Nope!

But I have been out with Megan and Bailey and have witnessed people asking her if she is a trainer and commenting on how well behaved Bailey is. Not so much with Buzz...probably because he's always trying to pull stuff off shelves when we are in stores.

People like to watch Frodo park it!

And, Buzz is just an ass in public... a non-dog-reactive ass! :D

All the time when I'm working on a disc dog routine... or doing obedience. I was at the park once working on my frisbee tricks with Sadie, and I have a kid RUN over to me and steal my frisbee and try to do the same tricks with her. I was running over to them (he picked up one of the frisbees that was out farther in the field that she missed) and he tried having Sadie do a back vault and got scratched... and of course started hysterically crying. His mom freaked out on me and told me that I should have expected the kid to want to copy me and I should have known it was dangerous... uhm, seriously? Unfortunately that park is perfect for frisbee and right next to my house, but any time I see a kid I pack up and work on obedience stuff to deter them.

When I am doing photo shoots in public places (like at the lake) I have little fabric signs shaped like cones that say "Photo shoot in session! DO NOT DISTURB!" because I've had people walk into a shoot, try playing with my freshly groomed dogs and its awful. Maybe I should get some of those for training!

Constantly! But I'm always taking one or another to a park/open field to train, so there are lots of opportunities for people to say something, I guess. I also got lots of compliments on my well-trained, quiet dogs at my breed club's Nationals this weekend (which was followed by 2 days of AB shows). I had Kimma doing handstands and other cute tricks, and Pentti doing heel work/obedience. Bubbles is just generally a well-behaved dog, so she got compliments on that - plus, she loves when people pet her so her usual position is on the floor on her back waiting for belly rubs :p

Sadly, for as much as people ask about my dogs and as many business cards as I've given out, I've not gotten much business from doing that sort of thing. Which is fine since we're there for training, but a bit baffling since the people who approach me seem so eager!

Sometimes. Sienna even got applause once, and we were just doing Novice heeling and recalls LOL. My favorite comment was, "Now that's a happy dog!" :D

The most I usually get is people asking me to train their dogs next. To which I have to just laugh.
I've gotten that a few times, too.

Oh yes. Sometimes when I'm doing drills by the river I get quite a little crowd gathered. Most of the time it's fine, but occasionally there will be that one creeper that ruins everything lol
