I was just walking Gus down by the river (it's at the bottom of our road!) before we had our dinner (It's 6:41 pm here what with the time difference!)
And as usual there were some guys fishing (It's a great Trout river! get loads of really good eating from it!!) Gus went on ahead as usual  (Don't know why I bother to walk him, i should just open the door and let him go by himself!!)
And as I came round the corner there was Gus sat next to a fisherman eating a sandwich, giving him his paw. Then he proceeded to give the fisherman his other paw, say please (Woof!) and get up on his hind legs and dance for the fisherman! The fisherman gave him a round of applause and half his sandwich! I was like NOOOOOOO don't give him anything he's a bad dog for begging! (especially at complete strangers!!!) And the fisherman said, well he introduced himself by shaking hands, then he spoke to me, and then gave me a little dance! If he wants the sandwich that badly he can have it!
I was mortified! Note to self must stop teaching the dog tricks!!!

LOL! He is so smart and full of personality. Are you completely sure it is you teaching him stuff and not him teaching you stuff? ;)

Haha, you stopped feeding Gus again huh? LOL, betcha with one of "those looks" he could manage to give that impression. Atleast he is talented when he begs. He didn't just go and steal the guys sandwich without a show. haha, smart puppy. "If I do some cute tricks I can get these silly humans to give me ANYTHING." There are days when I really think we are the ones owned by our dogs and not the other way around, like they are just tolorating us since it is easier for them that way! lol. thanks for the laugh even though Gus was a "bad" boy.

Lol!! She's no fool, your Shiva!!
Just like my friend Mandy's dog Ellie, She's a Finnish Laphund and a real girly girl!! She doesn't walk she bustles!!
One day I met Manday out walking and I invited her back for a cup of tea, she agreed so we both went to my house, we decided to leave the dogs outside with the door open as it was a nice day and they were playing happily. We decided to join them outside but Ellie wasn't there! We sartted to panic a bit (She's a rare and valueable dog and people steal them sadly!), but the back gate was shut and surely Gus would have said something if someone was there!! so she had to be in the house, So I went upstairs thinking what would she be doing up there? She was snooping round my house!! She'd tested every bed for comfort on the top two floors, she'd been through my Teddy bear collection and picked out my most valueable bear, which she was dragging around with her by the leg and she'd even been in the wardrobe to see what i'd got in there! A real nosy Girl!!!!
I thought it was hysterical (apart from the bear stealing!!) Mandy was so embarrased, but I said that Ellie was just doing what we all would like to do when entering someone elses house for the first time, have a good snoop round! Thing is she jsut didn't wait to be asked if she wants the tour! Lol!

Ah, how I wish we could take our dogs to dinner with us here!! Love the outdoor cafes that allow them.

You can take your dog everywhere except the supermarket here! Have taken Gus to perfumeries and allsorts of places! People don't bat an eyelid if your shopping in a clothes store with a small dog under your arm!! Shocked me when we first came here but now I'm used to it!

I know what you mean! I've been a victim of "tail swiping glass off coffee table syndrome!" :)
